Guys it's not very heroic to gang up on a pensioner, some of the comments posted on this thread are just stupid and childish.
Why re-read some of your earlier posting on this thread and think how angry you would be if this was aimed at someone related to you.

Ive seen it happen! The old lady who was on the path comming the otherway stepped off the kirb and fell into the road.
Lucky nothing was comming, I had to laugh!
The old granny in the scooter was leaning back trying to help her up.
I started to cry with laughter as the front wheels came off the ground and her rear stabilisers stopped it from tipping over!

Do you really think that we could afford to own cars of this calibre on dole money! The reason for exhausts the size of what they are, is due to the fact of releasing exhaust gases quicker on turbo spool-up. Kind of a bit similar to you having a big needle for when you need to cover large patches of your tapestry in a short amount of time.
Try taking a look at REAL pieces of **** driving around on the road. Plenty of those knocking around, mainly under the names such as Saxo, Nova, Corsa, Clio - They REALLY don't need exhausts that size. Noise due to exhaust size happens naturally due to the larger bore, and lack of baffling. Certainly something that those Corsa's don't need to get from 0-60 -Never.
