I must admit, some of those figures are very close to what I have achieved already.

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 380
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1330
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 290.30
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.67
0 - 100 (Secs) : 9.33
60 - 100 (Secs) : 5.66
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.29
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 114.79
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 11.89
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 118.69

Timed runs have been:

0-60: 3.85s
0-100: 9.5s

Both not getting the best out of the car and not ideal conditions, so I would expect better times in perfect conditions and better technique.

12.5s 1/4 has already been run, but again I felt a lot more could of been had under cooler temps and more practice (in reality I would be over the moon with anything in the 11's).

Who said lardy arsed newage cars running 6sp boxs were slow.

Regards,
Shaun.

What 60ft have you been getting?
(You're slower to 60 than my car with 100bhp more, but 200kg more)

The key to going fast in drag racing is driving lke you stole it, ie hard launch and change gear as fast as you can.

N.B. If you are talking about my figures and your getting a faster 0-60 then mine, then you wont be getting that in a scoob with 100bhp less!

What's more important on the drag strip, big BHP or big torque?

I've always struggled to get good times in my car, I think that my gearing and low down power hurt in that environment?

You're right, it's not a Scoob (Gtir RB, same as your RA)
With a 1.6 you should be hitting 11s, maybe your gear changing is not fast enough. ?!?

Martin,
BHP gets your top speed and torque gets you to your top speed quicker.

Carl2,
Twas the 1st time I had dragged a car for over 5 yrs and each run at TOTB was seeing a reduction in 1/4m times. Only did 5 runs and then ran out of time.

We'll see what the car brings in the future....... considering it's a six speed box though I am not too pee'd off.

Regards,
Shaun.
