oh I wish I was better at downloading computer stuff - got a tomtom 910 but no idea how to add this POI and it would be soooo useful!!!

What device (value for £££ ) would you guys recommend for someone thinking of getting a satnav..?

Me and my dad both have TomTom 910's but we didnt have a limit on budget and I wanted the US maps. Its superb but my first one locked up on day one and had to be replaced. My 910 replaced a Mio 269+ which I really liked and was very very good except that it didnt do full postcode recognition. Maybe Mio have sorted this now but its something to find out before you buy. To be honest I now wonder if its worth paying £400 plus when some phones now have tomtom stuff on. My girlfriend has the cheapest Garmin and even though its UK only its very very good for the money, small screen yes but you really just use the voice commandes. The Tomtom goes give street names on the map which is useful but the windscreen mount is terrible design and the whole unit does tend to flop around. Mio mount was better but still quite flexible in my opinion and had a annoying rattle. Oh one final thought, before you buy a tomtom if you decide to, check the usual big computer store website as they do reserve online and collect in store, I saved £70 that way.

Robo Cop, finally found time today tosit down and go through your thread of how to download POI Converter & finally, the "Golden Nectar" locations of V Power!!

THanks, also downloaded Tesco, Saisnburys, Esso Super Unleaded Sites.

Unfortunately, it's out of date as a fair few have either closed or changed to a different brand.

I thought I'd best mention it in case some drives 50 miles with the fuel light on to find no V-Power.

I would like to put a shell finder on my TomTom but I want to use it for Diesel. any help with this one please? by the way I am a novice at putting poi on my tomtom that are not at a cost on the tomtom site.

How do you do it please

I put this program on my TomTom but now the computer will not reconise my lead so can not use the Tomtom with my computer, help please

shut pc or laptop down restart then try again, if still nothing click on my computer and see if you can see your lead. If you have sd slot use this as there better then the lead. If still no joy i dont have a clue sorry.

Thank you for your advice Scooby1 did all what you said and sill nothing.
The SD from my TomTom looks like just a peice of plastic but I still put it in my computer but nothing.

Looks like it might of been a Coincidence, it all went **** up after i put the Program on to my TomTom.
