Magazine articles dont mean nothing, i owned such car & IMHO its the worst car Ford ever produced.
The ST170 is overated in all sense. Smell the coffee folks, its dross.
Have you owned one ?? I dare say from your comments above your a tyrekicker that likes nothing better than to spend your money on mediocre journalism.

I must add that i owned the car for a full ........................ 6 weeks.
I faulted it on a number of occasions & the local Ford service department were on first name terms with myself.

My comments are IMHO & i stand by them.

As for the Scoob well beggars cant be choosers i suppose.

Genius. You discount the opinion of the entire motoring press on the basis that you owned one of these cars for six weeks, during which time you hardly ever got to drive it because you kept taking it back to the dealer. Perhaps my comment about Ford not making bad cars was misinterpreted. Every car manufacturer will build cars on a Friday afternoon which slip through the quality control net. Ford is no exception. However, in the dozens that I have driven I can honestly say there has not been one that was not well screwed together, had a nice chassis and a quality gearbox. On the basis of that I would recommend Fords to anyone .

If you had parted with your hard earned a got a lemon you probably would not have nice things to say. I had a brand new toyota and wish I had purchased a lemon farm as it would have at least had a use.

That still doesn't justify the comments given. Every journalist concluded the ST170 was a great car whose chassis could have handled more power. It still recieved an almost universal 4 out of 5 stars.
