Toshiba 37WLT66
For surround I wouldn't look at Pana, but for screens they have always been up there, from CRT right through to todays LCD and PDP. The next generation of SED displays will see another quantum leap. For the audio bit you have to put Denon, Pioneer and Yamaha well ahead of Tosh in the respective sector.
The 37" doesnt get as good a review as the 32" (Which I have)
The Sony 40" LCD is as good as it gets right now , but like all LCD/Plasma's needs a good quality signal , but you all ready know that

The LCD TV situation is simple ..... Plasmas are subject to a high scrap rate and therefore set the price for 37" and above TVs at £1000+
The LCD scrap rate is tiny in comparison - but, the manufactureres have held the price at what the public are prepared to pay (well, the gullible, that is) - now that they ahve been satisfied they need to target the likes of me .... who, lets face it, are a LOT smarter than your average kiddie on here!!

To gain sales now they have to drop the price heavily - this they can do because LCDs are VERY cheap to make .......................
The 37" HD LCD TV for <£500 is but a month or two away!
