Having sorted all my suspension and brakes to how i want it, the only thing lacking is more oomph! LOL.
Here we go again! Hahaha.

My car is a daily driver with 75k miles just around the corner.

I have the RCMS Induction with a custum made Heat Shield. The heatshild makes the difference between running 10 degrees above ambient intake temps and 1 degree above ambient at cruising speeds.

I have a spare gearbox ...... just in case

If i do this, all my work will be RCMS i think. And i have asked them also about gearbox. I dunno if i could do all that work and not look at gearbox?
The thing is, it is bound to pack up at the worst possible time, and with me living miles from RCMS anyway, then it would have to be towed there, etc, etc. I dunno. lol.
But i want more oomph, its addictive.

if i had this list of mods what sort of power and torque would i make

TD05 18G hybrid(from you AFP5-18)
STI 550CC injectors
RCM 3" decat downpipe heat-wrapped
RCM 3"decat centre section
RCM 3" back box
TSL decat up-pipe heat-wrapped(not including headers)
K&N panel filter with drilled resonator box(for extra airflow)
TOPMOUNT which is slightly larger than sti8
NGK iriduim plugs
WALBRO 255lph fuel pump
oil catch can.
ANDY F REMAP

Looking at 350 plus BHP on a cold day with the OEM headers ported (Harvey for £100 exchange)..

I never realised how important heat management was until I swapped my TMIC for a FMIC with some underbonnet / cold air mods !!.........Get a cheaper 3" system (Revolution) instead of the RCMS and think about spending the surplus on FMIC and colder air into the intake !!

*cough* Harvey *cough*

Grant,

This fixation that you have with 350bhp is going to cost you a lot of money.

Take this from somebody that has been there and still paying for the T-Shirt.

I only say this because I have missed my target twice (297 for 300 and 346 for 350). The problem then is that you need to spend big money to get to the next stage. I once spent 4k and only gained 27bhp.

Your list of mods are correct (but I would included some of Harvey's ported headers).

Fit the mods, get Andy to remap and then enjoy the car. Don't worry about the figures.

Good Luck

Martin

I would ignore the top mount slightly larger than sti 8 - go for a STI one or front mount

the larger top mounts didn't shown much improovment over the STI version on my car.

Martin never a true a word spoken ... now how much is 400 bhp going to cost me

Just another plug for the STi top mount if you are sticking with 350 BHP..LOL

As Martin says there's a big spend to get over the 300 BHP, then a huge amount to get over the 350 BHP and then there is a monster spend to break the 400 BHP LOL

Martin isn't joking at spending thousands for a few BHP !! Mines at RCMS for some fettling to keep up with Martin and I guess the pound per BHP is.....

about £100 per BHP

Just off to a darkened room to lie down.....!!

I had a 350 bhp 02 2L which started causing all sorts of problems with the clutch and gearbox...the clutch would slip if I added a little more boost (thanks to dawes) and the gearbox would rumble like mad in top on high speed run (not on public roads of course ). Changed it all for 6 speed and sti size uprated clutch - very glad I did as since I've gone down the 2.5L route .
