I`ve had 4 Impreza`s, now im driving an Evo 6.
To be quite honest, for my 10k budget, I`d never come back to an Impreza again.
My 6 is still standard power-wise, but i`d put my life savings on the fact that it`d wipe the floor for handelling and speed, against any of my previous Subaru`s.
Now, dont get me wrong, im not anti-scoob suddenly, infact quite the opposite. I still have an everlasting love for the flat four burble and (nearly) everything associated with the Subaru marque.
Im completely shocked just how good this Evo is, how i`ve fallen head over heals in love with it, and how at full chat it sounds (IMO) even better than any scooby zorst note (I have a Blitz rear end). The downside of course is that at slow speeds it could be any Escort/Saxo/Corsa with a Peco big bore coming down the road

Go onto the FFOC (Ford Focus owners club) site and see how they think their cars are better than Saxos, or any Jap car site, see how they slate French tat

 

BTW, on Clarksons "HEAD TO HEAD" video, he couldn`t decide which he preferred out of the Evo 6 GSR and the 22B. Thats bottom of the range against possibly top of the range
