NS Front Susp arm
NS Rear Brake drum (shoes) but obviously replacing both sides
Front and centre exhaust (hopefully lambda will pass once exhaust is changed)

Oh well

Sure yours will be fine though mate
surely that's no more than £150 for the parts? all easy enough to be done on the driveway. about 3 hours by the time you've skinned a couple of knuckles.

susp arm £20
exhaust £100 tops
shoes £20

Can't be arsed to do it myself to be honest.

He did say £300 worst case and that included a possible piston (rear drum)

Susp arm £30 + £30 labour
exhaust £100 ish

He's just round the corner from me so I know him and he did say he'd get the best price on parts he could!

I think it'll be closer to £250. There were also a couple of other minor things (all add up).

It would take me 3 hours+ to do the susp arm LOL

It's called a "loss leader" in the trade.

Pulls the punters in & bites the unwary in the bum. They write off the loss on newer cars like mine & get it back on the less well maintained ones.
