I love York Raceway for the RWYB's......the variety of machinery that has a go is great!!
14.5 is probably about spot on for a UK turbo with a decat
Back in 1989 I had a Renault 5 GT turbo in which I did a RWYB at York..........I did a 14.7 against a big black 6.6 litre Trans Am that fluffed the start.......I almost beat him, but he came past me just on the line.........doing about 40mph more than me like!!
I have it on video and still love to see it now and again
My mate Adam is usually there in his mental Jago Jeep that does wheelies of the line

I'm back at work now....up in Rosyth just now, but will be sailing out to sea shortly.
The car got a few treats while I was home......BC coilovers, refurbed alloys, RE070's, EBC discs, PF pads, Kenwood touch screen double din doofawop, Afterburner Vortex R.......they are a bit noisy eh??.....but nice
Got RE Motorsport to fit rear camber bolts and do the four wheel alignemnt for me on Monday too, so the RE's should last a bit longer now.
Got some Fusion component speakers and Dynamat type stuff ready for next time I'm home, so that will fill a day or so in November
Bloody cars cost a fortune eh, but with the market values as they are I think I'll be keeping her for a while longer, so may as well make it as I want it. 400bhp on the cards for next year I think........unless I just go straight for 450.....or do I need 500?? lol need????

I actually got the speakers and Dynamat stuff off eBay (where else for me eh?? lol)
The speakers were only £41, so I thought they were too good a price to pass up. The Dynamat stuff is actually called Brown Bread and was £9.99 per roll.
I'll turn my hand to most things on the car, so I'll be a speaker fitter next time home
Rick is indeed a top bloke; always seems to have time to help if you have any little issues with the car, and hung back for me on Monday as I was late getting to his place to pick up my car. He's going to advise on some 400bhp (+?? ) kit for me at some point, so I'm looking forward to that, and if I've just done my tax calculations correctly, I am not having to give the taxman any money that I don't have, so I may be able to afford some more stuff for the car in New Year

A life on the ocean wave for me until the end of the Month unfortunately (or fortunately for the bank balance), so no events, meets or enjoyment until November.
I'm sure there will be a few nice days in November though, so the car will be out. The Vitara isn't taxed or tested at the moment, so that's my first job when I get home

Ow dooooooooo
Currently plodding our way through some proper bad weather in this old tub, getting shaken and stirred like a good Martini Had a few waves right over the top of the main decks and had a few thousand gallons cascading down past my office window a few times. Lovely eh?
Only nine or ten days till I'm off here now, so as from Wednesday it will be DSMSMRIOMRDP
Don't See Me See My Relief, I'm On My Rundown Period
Got my eye on one of them K&K Apollo jobbies now Neil ....and got myself a proper record cleaner for when I get home, so WHEN YOU TUNE IN , you'll hear less crackles and pops
