Fine thanks.......now that I've finished the saga of the wheels studs/spacers!!!
Ok ok.....I'll tell ya!!!!!
Wanted a set of alloys, but the designe I like is either £2000+ for the correct fitment, or £700 for a set that needed spacers. Needless to say I went for a set that needed spacers, however, the spacers sent with the wheels are a universal set and they were not a good fit, and contributed (I reckon) to a wobble like wheels out of balance.
I bought some extended studs and tried to sort some hubcentric spacers of the same thickness, but they are not available and to get a set made was going to cost me about £240.
I bought a set of Eibach Pro Spacers that were a bit thicker than I really wanted, but they came with extended studs.
So........yesterday I decided to fit them, starting with the rears as it's more difficult to change the studs on the rear. I ended up having to go to Halfords to get a bearing/hub puller, but the job got done ok. Spacers and wheels fitted nicely. On to the front...........
Fronts are easier as all you have to do is take the brake caliper off, drop the disc off, knock out the studs and pull new studs in. Easy peasy!!
Front left disassembled fine (if a bit tight on the caliper bolts) and studs knocked out.....went to pull the new studs in and........wrong thread!!!! The studs supplied in the kit are incorrect!! BARSTEWARD!!!!
Fortunately I have a set of extended studs already, so I just used them. They are a bit longer than the Eibach supplied ones, but the nuts still tighten ok.
Front right....this is going to be done in no time eh....all the practice I've had. Errrrm yeah.....until a bolt sheared off in the caliper!!! DOUBLE BARSTEWARD!!! I'm now cursing and wishing I'd bought some other feckin wheels, even if I wasn't that keen on the design!!!
Got the caliper off eventually and soaked the sheared bolt in Plus Gas for the night. Went back to it this morning and managed to get the job done ok. All finished.
So....the moral of the story??? If you like the look of Advan RGII, fookin buy Advan RGII and not a lookee likee that doesn't quite fit!!!
I actually looked at some Inovit STVI's last year, but turned them down as I'd have had to use spacers.......exactly as I've done now......and I prefer the STVI's!!!! TRIPLE BARSTEWARD!!!!!
And the final nail in the coffin????? When I want to fit the standard wheels back on, I'll have to fit standard studs back into the hubs, so will have to go through the whole feckin process again!!!!!!
QUADRUPLE FECKIN BARSTEWARD!!!!!
Aaaaand.....I still never fitted my Prodrive springs!!!!

The car got a few "that's nice and clean" and "like the colour of the wheels" kind of comments at TOTB, so I think they will be staying for now.
Big shout to Rick RE today.........I called in to ask him to check a noise on the front end of my car, and he spent a good hour going round and round and investigating.........no charge....top bloke
Think I need new struts (well..one) perfect opportunity for an "upgrade" though eh?? lol
I might be able to claim under warranty, but I think I'd have to take those spacers off before the warranty people saw em..........and you know I don't want to do that!!!!
