I am a little concerned having read some of the responses here regarding PS's treatment of people who have their engines go bang.

I was considering using them for my Axis build but now find myself very weary of using them for any kind of engine work

Belkin I have to question posts like this as there is a search button and they tend to come across as something of a setup. How can you say something like “It seems that powerstation is the place to go for suspension work, [AST only] anything else that is needed you should be looking else where”. “AST Only”????? I’m sorry there must be stacks of proven specialist handling companies out there.

This garage that people “should be looking elsewhere” has taken OUR race car (we jointly own it) to the top of the Time Attack series by more than just luck. Your right that Cosworth build our engines which arrive in a number of boxes. It’s a long way until they compete on the circuit. There is a video on our websites showing the building of the racecar.

As a customer of Powerstation I put a lot of faith in their ability both financially and in my own reputation. Powerstation have remapped every single one of the many Japanese import STI’s and Spec C’s we have sold since 2003 and as of yet not one has gone wrong through mapping etc. We’ve had journalist, trackday enthusiasts, manufacturers test drivers all give my cars everything and the reliability has been remarkable.
You’d be amazed at the number of race cars they have a hand in making successful and have proved their skills at last years Tuner GP and now in Time Attack.

No ones perfect but as I’ve been around this scene for a while now and I could tell you horror stories about just every company.

Our race car has performed faultlessly at all the race events, the same can’t be said for our rivals and these are some of the top names in the industry.

As Ns04 has pointed out there are always 2 sides to the story. Mechanical things have a habit of breaking especially in motorsport and even more so when they are old and tired in the first place. But when you are dealing with peoples hard earned money and on occasion egos it’s easy to look for a scape goat.

Lets not forget we are talking about someone’s business and livelihood so generalized comments based on internet hearsay can quickly get out of hand or taken out of context. They are busy everyday and have been for years for good reason. Don’t let a vocal minority (which love this kind of thread) sway you from making your own decisions.
