I can't see it on the site.. but 10-11 would be a decent time to turn out.. as any earlier and all you'l see is a few stand members and campers, bleary eyed and hung over trying to polish some metal... HTH

Why for Sunday? It's a 2 day show, so it needs to be ready for Sat too.

Is the camping on-site or is it in the camp site 1/2 a mile away?

Do we have bookings for the camping?

Sorry to report!! but its a 'no' to camping on Friday night, unless you want to set up in Sticky's garden. The camp site designated for the show is full..

Martin, the events organiser will allow camping in the arena, Saturday night for traders and show cars.
It looks like he has had a huge influx of people wanting to make a camping trip out of it rather than the actual car show its supposed to be all about.

He can ill afford to let, 60 tents in for a 30 car strong stand, this will end up understandably, completely out of control, if multiplied by the amount of stands and traders attending. The camping was originally planned for Traders and a controled number of stand people, to get set up in the morning.

I will pm Martin to see if we can get in Sat night, as our numbers for camping were not overly excessive.

 

I agree very dissapointing numbers given our size,9 cars, same old same old springs to mind shame its not the last thursday meet, we got loads turning up for that.

If we said we were having a EGM Sunday would that get more there

This is our local show guys, the one out of all of them all we should be striving to put a good show on for, I am just going through my photo's, see if I can resort to bribery

 

Shame it's not you and Crafts that needs bribing, I have a cracking photo that would have come in handy for that

I agree with Mick.... We have probably 2 decent shows a year; The NBO and this one. The Shootout, TOTB & Thoresby are probably the others... but as this is our local event it would be great to have a good turnout for both days...

Please try and re-schedule your other plans and make at least one day... you know it makes sense..

 

So who do i pay for this do i pay on the door or do i pay the club when we get the numbers correct

Looking forward to this one (looks like al have to purchase a tent)

 

i can make it on saturday ,,but its a no,,no to camping as the wife is at work at 7pm,,,and then shes back on sunday at 10am-2pm,,,7pm till 10pm

Camping's on. I never thought this was about camping Friday & Saturday night... Just about the Saturday night.. But it seems some peope were up for Friday too, which can't happen due to the show not starting until the Saturday.. hence the confusion...

The show is on Saturday so we turn up as normal on Saturday morning, setup and do the day as a stand.. when everyone has gone home we get the tents out and camp right on the stand... Do a BBQ and drink some beer as normal camping sesh's.. As we're there early on and straight from the day, then we should have some fun with the other guys / stands / clubs who appear to be camping too.....

We then wake up Sunday, put the tents away and do the Sunday too.

This is a few weeks away so details will firm up this week...
