Andy Forrest mapped the car. I do some drag strip action and also track days. The local B roads can be fun when they're quiet

I thought you made one of the cylinders run a bit richer though when it was mapped so it didnt suffer the dreaded starvation? Just thinking if I do the parallel mod though will the fuelling need trimming on said cylinder?

yeah cylinder number 3 is last to receive fuel and is nearest the turbo so runs hotter possibly due to heat transfer..

It is still a good idea to keep it slightly richer.. it is only like 0.2%

Just to echo that - Shane every time you switch the car off it defaults back to 0, so every time you start the car you have to go to settings and change it.

I've seen 65 with fuel surge, normal cruise at 80 mph about 15, ragging it 20

ok thanks everyone, didnt know u had to do it everytime ekkk...and on that note ive got 2 more questions now loool sorry about this,
firstly, i dc my battery the other day to fit a new clutch, does that mean my power fc reset (gulp) and secondly...im about to chuck some 550 injectors in, now on my power fc in settings it shows inj at 100% from 1 to 6, shoudl i change this when the 550s are in to something lower like 80%???

mine stays between 5 an 15 with normal to heavy driving. If really driving hard up near the limiter it goes up to 40.

The CEL light comes on more frequently when the weather is cold.

no it doesn't reset the map when the battery is disconnected.

78% is about right depending on the injectors. . so 80% would be on the safe side.. I wouldn't drive it hard until it has been remapped for them though as it is not just the amount of fuel that is different.. the spray pattern effects combustion so it may need more fuel in some areas and less in other etc..

Yes I do but I got it mapped like that so it's not in addition to what its mapped for. I should have added that all of the above figures are running 1.8 bar peak boost.

I was at a quarter mile day and wasn't getting the times I wanted. Andy Forrest mapped it for me and happened to be there so I asked how much advance I could add. He said add a couple of degs at a time and watch the knocklink and commander for the onset of det. It did help me launch the car much better (40 foot 4 wheel wheelspins ) but didn't help my times much due to the lack of grip.

Please do not add any advance without consulting your mapper!!!!!!!!

Dont worry, I never advance ign was just interested to see what sort of gains you had.

Had very high 'blips' of 60-80 occasionally on the overrun in 5th or on a very light load (i.e. 3000rpm, steady light throttle, 30mph), which is weird and I'm booked in to get that looked at. Even better, it's one of those things that is impossible to reproduce. Sometimes it just does it for no apparent reason, against a background of normal readings between around 8 and 15 most of the time. Absolutely caning it through the gears, even flat out in 5th, won't reveal even a hint of knock - just when I'm taking it easy...

Utter garbage.

Took the car on the strip when it was absolutely standard and did a 12.99, spent more than a few quid adding, pfc, fmic, 20g, 740's, full 3" decatm fpr, induction etc, etc, etc and ended up with a 12.80. I was not a happy camper.

Not had the chance to put on the strip with the new spec (2.33, gt30 hybrid etc) but will do shortly. If I get a 12.7 or something I'm gonna go mental.
