MY03 WRX
VF24
ECUTEK 3
Prodrive sports cat
H&S up-pipe
Scooby Sport centre decat
Panel filter
Whiteline Drop Links
Whitelline rear ARB

everything else is standard even twin pea-shooter back box, so the car looks stock but goes like stink.

Power? Don't know yet, will wait to intercooler, headers sorted first

I had my MOT in March just after my exhaust & re-map & it sailed through the emissions.

It is weird because the car now actually drives with better low down pick up than before. It is very hard to keep off boost even feathering the throttle when first setting off to warm the oil up.And on the road the car seems to get away from me speed wise for what feels like the same input - if that makes sense.

Pat mapped it to suit me not going eveywhere with a 100% throttle opening & I asked for the boost to come in @ lower revs than it had been.

The run on the 15th was a lot colder day,not much above freezing.Ambient temp on the 7th was 8C or 9C so charge temps would have been higher.

Before with just PPP.

After exhaust & re-map.

Overlay.

290bhp up from 252bhp

275lbft up from 263lbft

Boost 1.3bar up from 1.2bar.

I am a happy bunny

Quite interested in seeing what mine does with absolutely no mods at all now! Would be good to run 4 04ish WRX's side by side. One standard on regular unleaded, one standard on ultimate/optimax and then 2 PPP'd ones on the different fuels too.

MY04 Wagon

In Jan 05 I had just a Ninja BB and a TMIC splitter. I got 260bhp/249lbft at PE. This amazed me and few others watching!

Mods list now...

Ninja BB
TMIC splitter
Ninja centre
Prodrive centre De-cat
STi panel filter

The car now feels a fair bit more 'torquey' and has a much better throttle response.

If I RR'd the car now, I'd say the bhp figure might be slighted increased, but I'd hope the lbft figure would be around 260.

Before my 05 wrx was 'fettled' (well apart from ninja bb and centre decat) I ran it against an 05 WRX PPP that my brother was driving and there was absolutely nothing in it from any speed..!

Infact the only difference was the PPP car being a UK supplied car had the GOD AWFUL seats that I'd forgot just how bad they are..! (unlike the side hugging EU seats..)

Hence the route I took in going ecutek etc..

Posted the results on here at the time, although I'm not sure many believed me..!

MY03 WRX SL- 367BHP 347LBS Torque

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d167/kk3960/366peg.jpg

Since the above figure was Dyno'd I have now fitted GT Spec headers & APS 3.5" Exhaust, bigger intercooler & Injectors. It now wants mapping again so hopefully torque will rise dramatically with these new Mods and I should be Very close to that 400HP figure!

Mods to date including the above are a TD05 20G From Andy F, 550cc injectors, APS CAIK with Samco Induction & Turbo Hoses, STI Top Mount (Being replaced with Hyperflow), & AVCR! I also have an STI Inlet manifold which looks cool in red!

Who needs an STI ??

SNAP

Then add a VF35 and you get:

Delta dash comparision of VF35 (1.5 bar) vs the PPP output.

I'm happy with their wheel output findings against other runs I've done elsewhere.
Prodrive seem happy to quote flywheel output from them.
What are your personal findings of PE then?

I never seem to remember what happens on ***** waving threads - everyone uses different scaled rulers

I was expecting it to feel laggier, but the work that Zen Performance did on throttle response made it feel better than the TD04.
Fuel consumption IMPROVED very noticeably as there is no longer any need to prod the turbo into action around the 2.8-3.5k mark.

Was that just turbo, fuel pump and injectors?

Do you think mileages effects the power? When would you consider a WRX to be giving full power? Mine's done 9,000 miles BTW...

Essentially yes.
I kept the PPP exhaust but added a prodrive sports cat, used a 3 port solenoid, put in an STi uppipe, added an inlet manifold without TGVs and ported everything I could take off easily (inlet, headers, turbo, throttle, uppipe.

Thats impresive power . Are you still on the standard turbo to get that?? I didn't think that kind of power was achievable on the TD04.
