So whats the excuse against Paraguay? 442 and no goals from open play...

Its all fair opinions. I think what ever we decide to play aslong as we dont give Portugal too much time on the ball we can turn them over comfortably

I've waited a while for a holding midfieder to sit in so that we could see lampard and gerrard play together without the problem of whose doing the holding, but again they both had bad games. maybe they just are too similar for them to both be in the same team, holding midfielder behind them or not. I think we sould drop lampard and go 4-4-2, with carrick and gerrard in the middle, beckham on the right, and have crouch and rooney up front. rooney tried hard yesterday and got better as space opened up, but crouch is very good when he's got his back to goal and will fit the team better.

All I see from crouch is more silly fouls and offsides. IMHO he shouldn't be in the squad, let alone a starting 11. I think they should go with the team they started their last match with, and I'd like to see Lennon more.

It was certainly a surprise to see an Argentinian referee officiating this match. I was certain that FIFA's policy on refereeing was that if your country goes through you will not qualify for any further games.

With the Argentinian officiating and Merk (German) still in part of the selection panel for the Finals I am puzzled......

FIFA are not helping and the referees which have been officiating have been beyond belief with their decisions.....

As far as I'm concerned, I never want to see Ronaldo in a United shirt again - and I suspect I'm not alone.

Rooney will have his revenge during pre-season training, then it's time to let go of the cheating c***.
