If the truth be known she probably managed to travel to her local supermarket without the use of sat nav which is going to take it out of her and possible cause cranial tension.

my cheekbone was hurting a few days ago but i havnt bumped it or anything, i dont know if its connected to my head pain

I've had it, get relapses every now and again (Doc says this is common) = Hurts like hell
If you feel like you've been kicked in the nose/cheek its probably sinusitus & if your head thuds with every footstep.......

Look after yourself Squaresy - you're dealing with a lot of stress at the moment and that can do really wierd things to your system. When I've gone through periods of intense stress I've suffered similar symptoms.
You mentioned the headache wasn't deep so it could easily be a tension headache - you're so tense all your shoulder muscles are tight. which in turn affects your scalp, pulling it tight and creating the headache - and they can be bloody painful! I had one for a week once and nothing I took eased it at all - I had to go into work, but I had all the lights off in my office and my PC monitor on its dimmest setting.
Try some relaxation stuff. I'm a fan of aromatherapy for stress relief - works a treat for me. Most things lavender scented can help, or I strongly recommend Boots pillow spray - cinnamon & nutmeg. Make sure you're taking plenty of time for yourself to relax - long luxurious baths, nice body lotions etc.
Also, I know this is dull, but make sure you eat properly - if need be take some multivitamin pills to top up your system. Get loads of fresh fruit and veg into your system and drink at least 1.5 litres of water a day - it really does help your whole body function better and deal with stress etc.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

I'm sure they'll be another thread along soon about yourself and how your ankle socks are chafing maybe, causing sore feet, and the inability to walk further than 4 yards.
I for one, just accept your head pain was more likely down to a hair grip you'd left in while sleeping.

Possible explanation - (my parents who are medics used to have patients who complained of similar symptons.)
It can be fairly common if you're highly stressed to be clenching your jaw in your sleep which causes tension in your facial muscles.
Now for the bad news - I cant remember what you need to do to make it go away.
Hope you feel better soon
