Ok Guys

I will apologise on behalf of the SIDC

no malice was meant on Muddy'd behalf and he has PM'd several people to try and explain the circumstances

Heat of the day

No disrespect was meant to WYIOC

Edited to add, I was typing whilst Phil's apology was being posted and I for one appreciate his humility.

Graig we did not over hear a partial converstion, the marshall you angrliy passionately vented your frustration towards the WYIOC to, actually came over to see us and told us of your feelings.. once again shocking appalling..

God help all the independent clubs with the sidc suffering from god complex attending events..

Do the midlands lads know they were put to one side because of your medling ?,,

I would gladly have any of these independants set up at the side of us.. Additionally there was 100yds between our stands, with typre R club to the right, and Sx club inbetween us and you. Why the hell did you have a problem with us?? given that distance,, or did you simply want the field to yourselves.

You have seriously caused issue with other car clubs today... it was a jap show today, not SIDC show..

The Type R club was about 4 feet to our right today, as where the mx5 club, 10 feet to the rear, and no issues at all from any party and they were different marques........ top guys buy the way.

So why the complaints... I know feel sorry for the Midlands guys who got put at the top above the general parking area due to your request not to have other Impreza clubs around you, even if 100yds and another car marquees club inbetween aint enough.

heat of the day?? if this is how your guys deal with public events, you seriously want to stop attending them.

There was never any heated exchanges between both clubs, we were just enjoying the day till the marshall came over and told us of Craigs request and reason
Even then we never exchanged any Jibes or comments we simply carried on enjoying the day and discussed bringing it to a head when we were all back home.

A bun fight at the event was never on the cards, and equally never happened even though craig through them, shocking Phil seriously.

The SIDC does not own independent car shows, and cetainly does not have a manopoly on wich other clubs are allowed to be on the same field as them as they/you tried to do today.

anybody know any members of the midlands group

Do you think he got the face on more cause he didnt win anything ?

I spoke to one of the judges, and he said there main criteria for the winners, was how much love they had for their car, NOT how much money they had thrown at it...

Thanks for that

Its very difficult these days "local" clubs have moved on to a different level and are well capable of having stands in there own right at their local shows

We at the SIDC try to make sure there is a presence at every show

I am pleased Yorkshire is in capable hands

Please remember like you guys we do this for fun and all the personal attacks are not nice

As I said I hope we can move on

Mick, perhaps you could copy & paste Mr Muddy's PM, in order that we may see for ourselves his *cough* reasoning?

Of course, a PM is meant to be a private thing, but under the circumstances????

Or should we invite him to Blyton, as he's a member of the SI DRIVERS C?

HA....

Imagine the look on his face at those pot holes

"....WHAT!!!! You actually DRIVE your cars around here?"

Where's he gone, anyway?

SI(non)DC?

To be fair, I'm sure that the majority are fine and upstanding, and are in this for the same reasons as us, and as such Phil's comments and apology are most welcome. Indeed, I dare say that we'd all get on like a shiny red WRX on fire (Hmmmm, nice thought) but the main protagonist has been very noticable by his absence since much earlier in this thread, and if taken in a certain light that single post of his could even be misconstrued as a threat!

I for one am still waiting for HIS explanation and justification for HIS actions.

Your representative, wanted us, all our members throwing off the field today Phil, and its become apperent he had success with the Midlands guys not getting on the events side of the arena. how dare he call us an un-official club in the hope we would be evicted

Midlands turnout was gobsmacking, in all honesty. Are you guys sure you weren't getting some 'sympathy' parking from members of other clubs

Nice to see the banner still going strong.

Really !!! You seemed to have had a great day

I have apologised on behalf of the SIDC

There is not a lot more I can say and I don't intend to enter into a war of words even if goaded

if you don't wish to move on then thats your choice

I can assure you we have nothing more that the enjoyment of Subaru's at heart even if it did not manifest its self today

Thanks and good night

thanks for the compliment and i personally didnt see anything wrong with your stand at all, in fact i got a couple of pics because it was different to see the cars arranged "sundial formation" instead of the usual side by side, and if what has been said is true im flabbergasted to say the least

It took seconds of military-precision planning. It was all done proper like. There was 30 degrees between each car and everyfink. (Give or take about, ooh, 30 degrees )

Shame no-one took any pics of Mick's yellow classic all day, I thought it looked

Blimey, quarter past eleven and I've only just realised I've got 2GB of piccies to look through.

Anyone know of any software that will search through RAW files and delete anything that's red before I get to see it?

After reading this thread with interest all i can say is fair play and well done to the yorkshire crew its refreshing to see other regional clubs standing on their own 2 feet and long may it continue, bigger and better is the way forward
I hope SIDC dont try to ruin it for us at Hampshire Subaru at Trax this year as we are having our own independant stand aside from SIDC and if they dont like it frankly they can suck my plums

Keep up the good work
