Whilst I was not there and can't comment on what actually happened I am sure there was no malice intended and has probably been blown out of proportion

It was indeed him (MUDDY) who complained, he says he did not mention the WYIOC, he just must of jumped up and down saying them them can you see them!!! however his complaint was aimed at us, hence our visit......

It was the fact that our club has lower stature and was near his, he feared our stand would bring theres down to looking like a car park...

our cars in a circle around our club area,, there cars parked side by side like a car park.. go figure....

Simple truth is the reasoning is weak, and his comments on our club not been official or organised are true.

Obviously I organised the event officially with the organiser and seeked there guidance this morning prior to set up... So we are and it was....

I certainly wont offer a hand of frindship there way. like I did on his thread initially

You had to be there mate. Made themselves look like kids in a school playground, so perhaps we're reciprocating in kind, but what the Hell. We WERE having a great day, this just made it better!



I think what got their goat was our perfect stand layout. We had 12 cars arranged around the gayzebo, each one pointing to the 12 numbers of a clock face as if to mimic a sundial. Crap at first, but when the sun shone (which it did for 99% of the day) we all removed our watches to get a nice all-round tan, and told the time by whoever's car was in the shade.

"Ohh, look... it's got round to Mick's car... Put the kettle on Dave, it's time for tea."

"Look guys, Dan's cars in the shade, must be time for an ice cream"

By half past Sticky we'd all heard the SIDC news, and were planning a full frontal attack, commencing at Oh-Dazza's-Atom hours, but they'd all buggered off!

 

^ not to mention the shaking head insident because we had a none scoob on the stand even tho it was a all jap show

 

It has a Honda engine. And it's not been in Lax Bowels!

 

I can only echo all comments made by WYIOC members, I fully agree with all that has been said about todays events. As far as I'm concerned, TOP DAY really enjoyed it, we are an official members club who DO work together to make things enjoyable

 

Wonder if the MLR compained about Lancer-Evo being too close?

Bet if they had done Bazza would have gone and slotted someone

 

I keep having a look on SIDC's forums but the bunfight hasn't started yet Unless their mods have all been drafted in on special duties to ensure the tranquil harmony of their pleasant site

 

May I take this opportunity to cordially invite the SDICK to Rising Sun Sunday.

This event is being held in our back yard, but we would LOVE you to come along. We'll sort you out a nice spot, right between the WYIOC, SMACS, Sheffield Scoobs, Hull Scoobs and Midland Scoobies. You'll love it.

Of course, none of us are official clubs, but then none of us charge £25 for a years mmbership. We are all totally disfunctional, having recently failed at organising a drinking session in a beer factory, so you'd have nothing to worry about. Even so, I'm sure the orgnisers will lend a sympahetic ear, and offer a nice soft landing area for your dummies.

To ba fair it did about a mile round the showground today, but that was because it got entered into EVERYTHING.

He just swapped the Subaru badge for a Toyota one, then 'Bishi, Mazda, Nissan, Etc....

Tis a shiny car, to be fair, but they were made to go like fahook, not be looked at.

All IMHO, of course.
