Andy, thats all very well it being a clamp , but where would we clamp it too? you clamp yours to the rollcage which we dont have.....
How about a bullet cam then and velcro it to your helmet.
Seen some very good footage of ones done like that.
Got mine from www.rfconcepts.co.uk

The bullet cam is the obvious choice but id fix it to the front bumper, shame i dont have the 150 odd quid needed to get a decent one. The cheaper ones arent much cop for resolution.
Neil, if i get chance i will try and fabricate a bracket this week, which you can test at TOTB. I have the Hague mount too, complete with clamp, but nothing to clamp it to!

This might be worth a try with the organisers regarding suction mounts - in fact I'll email Rob and ask him to check this out in advance...
Using the windscreen suction mount on the front screen, secure it to your seat belt by using a decently strong tie wrap. Thus if the mount did come unstuck, it would not end up flying all over the car - which of course is their worry.
I was recommended to do this by the scrutineer at the last hillclimb I did.
Cheers

I have posed the question to the organisers and it is being looked into - worth bringing your suction mount anyway - maybe we can talk them into it on the day
after coming third in class at rockingham , getting ready for having ar%e kicked at silverstone.
However got nothing to prove just going to trundle up in the T20 without gloves or overalls
unless it's cold !! and have a good thrash round a wonderful track.
Come along it's a wonderful day just to see some of the machinery driven in anger by some quality drivers

Right time to start getting power to weight up:

passenger sun visor
sound deadening
under seal.
coat hooks
Damm bought a spec c so all that gone:
it gets worse, i've added back the passenger sun visor or no one gets in
slim fast it is then

More Impreza's in the line up guys!
Should have the definative listing this time next week all being well.
As for camera stuff, I bought 2 bullet cams from these people and the service was excellent http://www.actioncameras.co.uk
Tickets for the events are selling well and theres a healthy field of competitors so all in all look like this is going to be massive!

Mind you, the GT3 fell ill at Silverstone, so if mechanical woes strike other competitors I'll feel better about not being (technically) last.

Having trouble organising a towing hitch on our new tow car too... Best get is sorted!

Nah Shauns getting better each time I see him anyway. So this time i expect him to be closer still, and at least match the 1:10.4 i did last time
Its amazing what a bit of confidence does
If only I had your confidence in that Neil!
My only solice in TOTB was that I was 1:45secs behind you, which based on what results happened at ScoobyNetLive (all things being equal) would of at least meant I am not a total numpty (if I had ran there)...... but then that still doesnt take away the fact that the people getting in the 37's at TOTB undoutedly prove that is the next (higher) level that I am so far from being competitive with.
The real kicker is that I know that there is so much left in the car and I am fully aware of the areas on track that I am coasting (when others are accelerating), let alone the areas that I get completely wrong as I have no idea of the line to take.
Oh well....... more practice needed.
Looking forward to Silverstone, as I must admitt I was no where near as anxious at TOTB as I was the first time I tried in competition at Silverstone. In my opinion it was worse at TOTB as everything was so closely watched and viewable.
Even though it is so tempting to get other people to drive the car for me, it doesnt make sense as I am not learning anything. I know how quick the car can be around a track..... but it's better if I try to get it there instead of getting someone else to do it. Above all the experience is unreal and great fun.... I would recommend ANYONE that is thinking about doing it actually does it. I used to be an armchair critic and dreamer...... but until you get out there and actually do it, you can never appreciate what it is like and how difficult it really is.
Onwards and upwards.
Regards,
Shaun.

there is another thing that you can draw on in terms of the times too....
Nigel Wilson in his EVO3, was lapping silverstone in 1:06.8 i think last time, he was 0.1 ahead of me this time on this course, and as a result only 1.55 ahead of you shaun, thats with a 500bhp lightweight evo.....
i feel a trophy coming on when my bigger blower is strapped to the car
