The 4 settings i want on are passive arming, passive door locking, forced passive arming and siren chirps set to full volume.

Is this a back to the place that installed it or can i do it somehow as it doesnt say in the book it must go back to installer like it does for say, the ultrasonic sensor settings, this has to be done by installer.

cheers......

actually, now,im a bit miffed, i went about 200 metres away and got th emissus to set the alarm off and NO PAGE !!!

WTF, i mean, wots the point in having apage system if u need to be next to the car for it to send the signal,u`d see the tosssers breaking in, and i was getting the rf signal on the handset ¬

overall,not too impressed now......

to me, it seems, apart fromt he 3 way immobilisation, fuel pump, ignition and starter, its no better than a £150 alarm !!

gonna phone em tomorrow to get those options turned on, if they want more ££ for doing it, their ears will be red !

No it doesnt. You have to arm the system before you set off. It doesnt shut the car down until the ignition has been turned off. Unlike BLACKJAX which shuts the car down when it comes down to idle speed.

It's a built in feature that has to be activated from within the system programming.

Evolutionice is correct. The VRS system is unlike the blackjax that it will make the vehicle shut down while someone is driving. The VRS will give its warnings to disarm the VRS. Once the VRS has been triggered the systems 3 point immobilisation will kick in and the car will not restart.

Has the dealer programmed this function on for you? ask them as they have to do this via their bitwriter. Once working it is a good function to have.

cheers guys,my mistake, misread the writeup then.

it hasnt been activated, nothing has, forced passive, passive arming with door locking or the VRS.

i phoned them back up and they said straight away as i said these werent on, the company didnt send the details/info to them which they should of hence not being done, it should be with them today/tomorrow and they will sort it, hopefully !!

i know it was the 1st one theyve done so i suppose i should be alittle understanding, but if i hadnt of tested these features,i would of thought they were on etc when they arent !

also, the paging system is pants, not much range so far, i can see the car when it goes off, o pointless really, i want ti work when im out of view of the car, was told 1/2 mile radius, yeah rite !!!!!!!!

All sorted now, it locks itself after 30 odd seconds, if i leave a door open/ajar without arming it locks after an hour, i now have super duper loud chirps and have VRS setup, to test later tho !

all good good

only thing is the range of the fob pager, its not far !

1/ If you read your manual (page 38) it tells you which features are on and which are off.You dont have to test them to find out if they are on or off. It is up to the customer to specify if they want things set up differently. Most dont.

2/ The paging system, on all of the vehicles i have done, is excellent. Range is sometimes hampered by nearby telephone masts but i havent had much of a problem with this. It could be the antenna placement that is a problem. I normally mount it up behind the mirror on the front screen. This seems to work perfectly.

My antenna is in the top middle of the windscreen. It works really well there.

Hi problem is you don't get to see manual till after it is fitted
The fitter needs to ask the customer what functions are available and what he would like turning on or off

Also, with regards to my antenna,it is now in the ecentre of the screen at the top, but i fitted a sunvisor to the screen.

will this hamper the signal etc ?

it doesnt seem any different to when i 1st had alarm fitted but just thought about that 1 LOL

cheers again.

Default ****Beware**** Motor guard

Went to have my alarm fitted from motor guard. Worst mistake! The new owner gave a rude answer to all my questions. And then refused to give me deposit back when i turned up at 10am when he clearly said "i open at 9am any time around then." it was not like i turned up at 5pm. Anyway suppose thats why he's been banned.

I know everyone says go to trading standards and get your money back!

As long as you know.
