How much would it normally be for a remap ? Is it something i need to be doing asap or will it wait for a while until i get some more cash !!!

Or how much is a CEL fix and do they really work ?

If i was to put the cat back on would the light go out ?

What do you suggest i should do ? I've only had the car 6 week so i don't know that much about them and i don't want to cause any damage.

HELP!!!

If I've already had a Tek 3 re-map on my 03 WRX (when I had my 3" bore exhaust and sports cat fitted) and although it now produces huge torque - apparently the up-pipe is strangling the top end power.
The question is: If I were to fit an up-pipe - would it need remapping again to avoid damage?

Remap is about £550-700 depending where you go and whether you participate in a Group buy (there is one on at Powerstation at the mo).
If you can't afford that at the mo, get the CEL fix (which is a fraction of the price) and save up for the remap. You should send an E-mail to one of the tuners on here to confirm, but AFAIK you won't damage the car by running a decat DP on a UK WRX- the ECU will just add fuel to match the better flow of air. You just won't be getting the full benefit is all.

Whereabouts are you based mate?

Yes, you should have it remapped AFAIK. Speak to your mapper. A tweak will be MUCH cheaper if you go back to the same mapper for the work.

I was quoted £200 for future maps, which seems good to me.
