Cool

Robski is right, the car market is in termoil at the mo, thats why my m8 picked up a 3ltr vauxhall omega estate (not elite) 32 miles on the clock w reg for 18k, 27k new, bit of a saving aint it???!!!
At the end of the day, cars are a personal choice, myself i wouldnt want a BMW, im not bias or anything its just that i dont like them, ill keep my scoob for as long as i want until it starts to feel old and dated and then go and see what else is out there that can better it. (probably another scoob )

Exclamation

I had a heated discussion with a friend regarding this issue.
The one thing he did say that stopped me in my tracks was actually regarding value for money.
What exactly are you getting for your hard earned wedge.
At the end of the day, it pains me to say I think the BMW is actually worth the money you pay for it and I cannot say the same for the P1. Its six grand overpriced.
And Subaru should never have increased the production run. 500 is 500. Except when its a thousand. That shows a blatant disregard for the first tranch of buyers. They are paying a premium for exclusivity.
IM just gave them a two finger salute.

Thumbs up

I could not agree more with your quote.

The M3 is a different kettle of fish. Just look at the typical BMW driver, they are ****ers. So what does a ****er with plenty of cash buy? an M3 or M5 its simple.
Disclaimer : I know that Jonathan etc are not ****ers, but Im making a point.

To these guys not only do they want you to think that they are superior because they have a BMW, but they want you to think they have more money than that BMW driver over there.

...However don't tar everyone with the same brush.

It would be quite easy to say that every Impreza driver fall's into one of any number of categories, examples of these might be:

Most Impreza drivers cruise round car parks all night just so they can stand out of the Corsa/Nova/Fiesta Crowd.

Most Impreza drivers are so narrow minded that it prevents them from being objective.

Most Impreza drivers think they should be given immediate respect on the road because their car is faster than yours.
Etc...

I drive an my Wifes Impreza when ever I get the chance. Why ? because I am a driving enthusiast like most people on this board. Most BMW drivers (excluding myself of course) are not.

But the same could be said for a lot of people who drive performance cars, they drive these cars because they are the cars of the moment and I am sure there is probably some doddering old bloke pottering around town in his P1, EVO VI, Skyline GTR. What category does he fall into ****er or enthusiast?

Cheers
Paul
