I would be gutted and as said before if my son/daughter did turn out to be gay then I would doubt myself as a parent.
Im not a homophobe and do have gay friends but when the boot is on the other foot its a big no no from me.
I know this lad that was married for years and it turns out hes gay. He left his wife and kids which is fine because he is now out and happy but what I find strange is the fact that his voice has gone from quite a deep voice to, in 6 months, being as gay as you can get and he acts as camp as xmas.
He is also always trying to shove it down your throat all the time!!! Metaphorically speaking!!

I think if we had separate threads, one of which had parents contributing, and the other with those without kids, I think by and large we'd see quite a difference in response. You can give a kid good manners, you can teach them to cross the road properly, but ultimately, you can't play God with their sexuality. Trust me.
