What's the quality like of these wheels?

The 18" GRAs look very nice but the prices look too good to be true.

I sounded out TSL yesterday for speedline and compomotive MO 18"s with Toyo proxies for my classic with Brembos and they were coming out at about 1300 snots a set. They are pucker motorsport rims to be fair but the price difference is substantial to say the least.

Are the Rota wheels up to track day abuse??

Rarerims tout them as being up to 50% lighter than other alloys but they don't list the weight. Does anyone know the weight of the 18"s.

I have to say, for looks alone, I'm tempted.

No info on 17" prices then... Not sure I want to go to 18's on a Classic as I like to push on down the lanes and with a lowered car, I'm sure that 18's would be rubbing like a bar steward on the arches.

Cheers,
Grant

How did it look on 18's with the Eibachs... My old MY99 was on Eibach/Bilsteins (Prodrive Handling Pack) and looked alright on P1 17's, and my old Wagon was on H&R's but only running 17's so no rubbing.

I was considering Tein springs this time round, which I think are a similar drop to the H&R were... I dont like too much of a gap between tyre and arch when car is sitting there, I love to have a gap when I'm heading round a bend with full commitment, nothing worse than the rubbing sound!?

Cheers,
Grant

Slightly off topic, but still related

Phoned Julian yesterday to order some colour coded centre caps for a set of Rota's.

Just had them delivered less than 24hrs later. Big up for the service @ Rarerims.

Thanks

The guys that have had these in gold, what are yours like in the corners of the spokes ? just cleaned mine and it seemed like the paint is coming off,i can see silver where the spoke connects to the outer part of the rim and more to the centre of the wheel.Or are they supposed to be like this.

Cheers
Scud

As you can imagine this is a great concern to us;

Can you please send some pictures of this peeling? and we take look into this for you;

It brings up a good point, that if ANYone has concerns about the quality of their ROTA wheels to get in contact with us and we will look into any querie.

Theres no worries m8,i didnt mean the paint was peeling off,if you look at the wheels in the pic above right at the bottom of the spoke ( outer side of the wheel ) you can see they are a bit lighter to the wheel etc..........but i werent sure if it was supposed to be like that but it is

Like i said TOP JOB
