Group buy on ROTA 18" wheels and tyres

i have managed to arrange a group buy on ROTA 18" wheels and tyres with rare rims. www.rarerims.co.uk The group buy and prices are exactly the same as the excellent one they did a couple of months ago with the addition of an extra choice of tyres which are yokahama prada's for £20 less than the toyo's.

In brief to start there are GRA, Subzero and Formula Mesh wheels available in various colours.

Right now for the details

10 orders are needed to get this rolling so let me list the deal out...

There are 3 choices of tyre... Toyo's Yokahamas or Kumho's

The normal prices for these are...
With Toyo's T1R's £899
With Kumho's £739

For the Group Buy the prices will be...........

With Toyo's T1R 215/35/18 or T1R 225/40/18 it will be £760

With yokahamas 215/35/18 or 225/40/18 it will be £740

With Kumhos 215/35/18 or 225/40/18 it will be £640

That's a set of 4 fitted and balanced
All of these come complete with wheels nuts and locks included.

Anyone wishing to purchase just the alloy with no tyre the standard price is £515 but for the GB the price will be £380 for a set.

Fantastic offer I think you will all agree.....
*Postage is not included in the price above

Slightly off topic, but I have a set of Bronze GRA's. Noticed on their stand at Japfest they had a car with colour coded centre caps (in the bronze)

Can I get a set of these somehow through Rarerims. (there was nobody to talk to on the stand at the time on Sat) :(

TI7OJO 22 May 2006 06:38 PM

on the last group buy 17's with toyo t1r's were £640.

scoobynutt 22 May 2006 10:05 PM

but that price is a 100 quid more than ebay lol

Elmer Fudpucker 23 May 2006 03:38 AM

Rarerims don't seem to have anything listed for an 05 STi?

Rotawheelsuk 23 May 2006 12:45 PM

Hi, we’re pleased to see everyone how well the ROTA’s went down last time and have now re-stocked! And are ready for another group buy!!

Just to clarify a few things:

Delivery on the four wheels and tyres will be £30 for wheels and tyres, and £20 for just wheels. - this is slightly more expensive than last time, however includes full insurance.

The 18” GRA is available in:
  • Gunmetal,
  • Gunmetal with a polished face,
  • Gold,
  • Steelgrey,
  • Silver,
  • White,
  • Bronze,

The 17” GRA is available in:
  • Gunmetal,
  • Steelgrey,
  • White,

The 18x8” Formula Mesh is available in:
  • Silver,
  • Gold,
  • Steelgrey,

The Subzero 17” and 18” is only available in Silver with a polished lip

All the above wheels (bar the subzeros) will fit over Brembo calipers :thumb:

Colour coded centre caps (as seen at Japfest) are available with wheels, please state if you want them when ordering, they are available in MOST colours, but not all.

If anyone else requires centre caps there available for £20 a set of four inc. delivery.

As for the ‘cheaper’ wheels on ebay: They have been priced with Toyo T1S tyres not the newer T1R, and are not from the official UK rota distributer (we offer full warranty backup)

Unfortunately we are out of stock for the 05 STI fitment wheels; they have been ordered and should be with us soon! :D

Any questions please let us know,

Hope the group buy goes as well as last time!

Out of interest I don't suppose the GRID ones are in on the deal?

pimpreza 23 May 2006 02:57 PM

Hi,

I would like to know the shippingcosts for a complete set to Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

I also would like to know what '(bar the subzeros)' means. Do they fit over the Brembo's or not?

And my last question, any chance of the 18 inch PFF7 replica's in silver to join in this groupbuy?

cheers
Pim

Rota dont make an 18" pff7 and bar the subzeros mean they dont fit over brembo's.

3. TI7OJO - GRA in steel grey without tyres PAID

rmtypeR 25 May 2006 12:30 PM

The normal price for the 17" GRID wheels is £399.50. What's the groupbuy price going to be for these on there own, and also with the different choices of tyres? I don't need new wheels or tyres yet, so I'll only be buying if it'll mean saving myself some money :)

TI7OJO 25 May 2006 04:32 PM

on the last group buy 17's with toyo t1r's were £640.

Bugatti 26 May 2006 03:50 AM

Would 18" GRA fit straight on to a 54 plate wrx and would there be any problems to be expected eg. rubbing in wheel arch or any other issues.

Thanks.
Naz
