After my sighting lap, i was chuckling to myself in the car, because i knew i would be ****, so just went to entertain the crowd. Opening the diff to fully open helped

Anyway..... you should of won the handling..... especially considering you had an unfair advantage than anyone else and walked the track first!!! lol
Keep throwin those stones..... just make sure your move out of your greenhouse first though!!!

So did lots of other people, normal sprinting etiquete old chap. Considering you helped set the course up the day before you had no excuse not to give it a go at least once.
The sad thing is you showed us all your testing video's on the Prodrive test track, boasted how brilliant you now are, and still didnt have a go. Dont let that happen next time or you really will look a tit.

John,
I didnt see anyone else walk the track..... you still taking the drugs?!?
BTW... I never had anything to do with setting the handling circuit up so
I'm at ease with the fact that I am a tit..... your the one that needs to accept that you are!!! I'm man enough..... are you?!?
It's all about knowing your limits mate.... I knew mine, wanted the car to win so did what I needed to do!
Regards,
Shaun.

You told me yourself you set the place up on Saturday with Chris, when i was asking you why you hadnt driven yet. Or were you bull****ting again? AndyF and P20SPD walked the course a few minutes after me, as did some other people who were there early.
If driving your car on the handling track in the pissing rain makes you a tit, then guilty as charged.

John,
Did I actually say "I set up the handling circuit".... I said I was there on Saturday to setup..... just a bit more to the event then setting up the handling circuit!
Take head Johnny boy.....
Assumption is the mother of all F* ups and you just had triplets!
Anyway..... must of been something wrong with your setup as my toyo's were ace to base!!! Remember a bad workman always blames his tools... you tool!!!
Regards,
Shaun.

Great stuff - I think we got that from another angle Dannyboy....when I get chance I'll string them all together and post it up later. Pretty much got all of the afternoons handling runs right upto the little purple elise doing it's double spin at the end of the day!. Hopefully I can post some of these guys more triumphant drives to show they can really cut it...
...really miffed that we missed viding Andy F's runs - we were over in the car park when we saw it stream across the horizon and missed it the second time - went and stood for about an hour waiting for him but he never ran again

LOL pretty sure you said you helped setup the course, but it's posible you were being vague and i didnt notice because it didnt matter.
Nothing particularly wrong with my setup at all, it works great on the road, there is just a limit on what a 205/50x16 tyre can do in the dry compared to a lower profile, larger footprint 18" tyre. I was happy with what i extracted out of the car in the wet, it was a lot of fun, you should have found that out for yourself too.
The last wet run was very enjoyable, the dry runs were pretty pants as that showed up the weakness the stock tyre size posseses in that kind of environment. I was only 0.4s faster in the dry, so pants were my dry laps by comparison.

Neil,
I'm a bit confused with your profile.
Not sure how you became the 2006 SSO handling Champion, as Dirk Hale won that trophy in my car?!?
I also heard from someone else today that you had said you won this?!? Strange!
The official results for the Handling ShootOut Final (with the fastest lap giving the Shootout Handling Champion title) was as follows:
1st Dirk Hale 37.51
2nd Neil Wrenn 39.20
3rd Phil Royle 40.52
The interesting thing about these results, is that no one can say anything about the weather and conditions and who was running in what conditions etc for the previous QUALIFICATION times, as the conditions for the FINAL were the same for everyone.
Regards,
Shaun.
