What time is the Lincoln meet? And where? A map would be good. Remember Footy is on at 4PM and also the rally at Swinderby.

Iv tried to get a map up for you with no success...but in all honesty its easy to find.
The pub is on the A57 between lincoln and saxilby..and is located in the burton waters complex, which makes it easier for you to find as burton waters entrance has a sign directing you to the pub.
P.S. Burton waters is about 2 miles from lincoln and you access it by turning off the mini roundabout on the a57.

i see that wolfie is doing that run he said about on last sunday of next month. hopefully will go on run but at a wedding on the day b4 so may just pop down for finish at woodcocks. anyone else going?

Lincoln area Scoobies

If any of you fancy the JAPS show at Thoresby Hall this Sunday 2nd July there is a meet at McD's/KFC's car park (just off the A1/A46 junction at Newark) at 10:30. If thats out of the way possibly Markham Moor services on the A1? If your interested let me know and also where you want to meet up .

The next Lincoln meet should be the last sunday of this monthwhich will be the 30th. As there is no Footie, tennis etc on we should hopefully get a good turn out. Obviuosly wives and girlfriends who have had things planned for months, and not told us until we have dutifully cleaned the cars could scupper those plans.

Don't be daft GeoffMM we need to support our local(ish) scooby crews. Your car will be most welcome on the stand, standard or pimped to the max it doesn't matter, mines nothing special but I'm going . The FFF's are also having a BBQ at £2.50 a head at the show if your interested.

Come on Lincoln lads treat yourselves . If your free on Sunday 23rd July come along, just let me know asap please if you want to come so I can tell Dave (FFF man) numbers attending.

Geoff if you are heading along the A46 to Newark then down the A1, I can meet you at Newark if you like. But im not 100% im going just yet.

I think its about time Lincs, Grantham & us Newark lads all form one club with one meet that moves location to suit all. I know Wolfie is up for sorting something out. Feedback (good or bad) would be helpful please.

the one club is a good idea, i think a list of potential members is probably the next step.
maybe worth contacting the webmaster to see about getting our own icon/badges like the essex, welsh and wyioc members.

Good idea but i suspect we will need to build up our numbers first and prove that our club will be around for a while. The likes of Midland scoobies and Essex crew are getting huge. We have alot to live up to, but I say lets get things started! Im sure either Wolfie or I will start a new thread on the subject soon. We will talk on the 30th Grantham meet.

I think the problem with us lincoln lot is there are only a few of us that will turn up, 6 - 8. Even though there are quite a few sccob owners in lincoln. We need to get the word out that we don`t spend the whole time just talking about cars. If some of us can`t make it for whatever reason. The turn out will appear poor.

I will find it hard some months in the summer due to sport commitments and if it`s not sport it`s work or quality time due to me being away for sport and work for weekends at a time.

But i`m in full support of a group for the east. but what shall we call it.

I agree with Barmyclown. Dont make the club just a meet in pub carpark swapping stories of over taking BMW's. If we try to make it more of a social meeting. BBQ's, days out, picnics, visits?

Far too often us blokes head out on a Sunday afternoon leaving the Mrs at home, or if they do tag along leave them sat in the passenger seat looking bored! Lets leave the name till we sort out the club objectives, then we could put a name to the vote. Remember not all of us are from Lincs.

Anyway i suggest we all put our heads together and get stuff on paper?

Im more than willing to organise things and get the ball rolling. Feel free to PM me
