Hey I am actually proud of the fact that I have managed to do this. Bought up on one of the worst council estates in the country and left school with no exam results. I dont think i've done too bad, and at least I dont boast I paid cash cos i diddnt. Pathetic, not, proud yes!

LOL
Guys, SFK is a girl - and clearly excited (with fair reason) that she is able to fund a 6 series convertible.
Remember girls don't boast, they get excited
If this was a post by a guy, fair enough, but its not so different rules apply
If you can't accept or deal with that, fair enough, but it probably explains why you are most likely still single, or unable to keep down a decent realtionship

The original post didnt in any way say they were richer than anybody else. They just said their reasoning for buying one was that they could. My impression reading the post was more that they were excited and it had been a spur of the moment decision.
Such bitterness because somebody can buy something that expensive is sad but nowadays predictable I suppose.

It is indeed predictable that people are going to react, because the car comes with a strong image... provocative almost.

Well said! at last we agree
I'm glad I'm not some "8.76% APR living on the never-never" poser that relies on a set of "bling look at me wheels" I'll never own to look good on the way to work either .
Why not smoke about in something less expensive...or even one of your other cars , and chuck the 800 a month into a mortgage on a house? then, after say 4-5 years, get it flogged, and make some proper till?...then buy the car you want with it? and the money you made while renting the house out gets chucked into something else?
your'e just throwing money in the bin, and its all to look good in a new car.
Your'e mad!
I'll swear on my daughters life here...I'm not jealous..not one bit. I have my lot and am more than happy with it, it just galls me when people like you spend their excess money on bling, when with a bit of savvy they could be making a fortune with it.
out of interest, whats the line of business you are in?

Im getting the 6, in order to get rid of the 7 which has lost money, and the 6 wont cost me any more monthly. I just get a bloody nice car in the deal (which is nice).
As for property, I have been lucky enough to have just bought my own office at a drop down price, which has enough room for my business and to rent a whole top floor.
I dont want loads of money, just to be comfortable (think I would turn into a pleb with lots of dosh!)
Please dont think im being bigheaded cos im not im just proud of what i have managed to achieve.
Ps my business is in construction. I have 8 girls working for me and no men and we run a construction employment agency. GIRL POWER

Beemers are always a bit too aspirational for my liking but I think the 6-series looks good. Probably the best current Beemer other than the Z4M Coupe.
Ignore what the naysayers say.. do you want to take advice on looks from Impreza owners ?

I think you are shocked by the reaction from your post. Why ?? You have posted on here with the intent of rubbing people's noses in because you can buy a more expensive car than other's. Whether a BMW 6 series is a good car or bad, personally I wouldn't buy one, as I think they look cr@p. On the other hand though, I think the 5 series looks good (only in a dark colour).
There are plenty of people who post on this site who earn more than you, have a bigger house than you, have a better car than you (or more cars), are cleverer than you. Yet, they don't come on here boasting about it. A little tact in your opening post would have gained far better replies.

I too work in the construction industry, and my dad own's his own company, of which I work for, so I know how much or how little money there is to be made, and to be honest, if your car is on HP, your not doing that well !!!
People who do do well don't usually brag about it. Maybe you should stop bragging about how rich you want us to think you are, and concentrate on trying to get to where your trying to to tell us are !!!!!!!!!!
If you'd bought your car for cash, then you'd have something to brag about, but your just like the most of us on here, you have to buy what you want on finance.
Every company director I know in the construction industry (and I know a few) are buying their expensive cars for cash, their houses for cash. Say's it all really. I don't know you, but your talking ****. I would suggest that you are the silly one by making out that you are doing better than what you realy are. If your making less than 20% profit per project (at a minimum) then you ain't doing well.
Harry Enfield said it all really. Brag about how much you earn, how big a house you have, how much cash you have, and you get to look incredibly stupid. There is always someone richer than you, unless your name is Bill gates. Belive me, you think getting a 6 series on HP is doing well ??? You are wrong.

Its not construction, its employment, slightly different ball game. Find it strange that you are proud you managed to obtain a 6 series on finance........

Guys am I missing something here? Lots of people have come on this site and announced their new car. Some have been even more expensive ie 996 turbos/997 Cab/GT3RS/CSLs etc. We haven't given them a hard time, this is a site for car enthusiasts after all.
Nobody asked Nevetas how he funded his string of Porkers. Though I've often wondered (LOL)
Ok a 6 series cab might not be must have for most of us but thats not really the point.
So whats managed to wind everybody up?

singh...the cars you mention above are performance cars, bought by genuine enthusiasts who buy their cars to drive...
a 6S cab is just a folly, a posh sofa on wheels, purely to look good in, theres the difference.

Where throughout this thread am I bragging I am rich?????
Your dad has a construction company you say, well done to him. Does he pay cash for everything his construction company buys or does he take credit to aid cashflow????? Think about it!!
