I wonder how many of the Sony chiefs own and actively play a 360 at home

Looks like Gamestation are taking preorders. £425 for the 60GB HD version. Quite tempted

As with XBOX360, I'll hold off until there is something worth buying a "next-gen" console for.

As with the normal life-cycle of a video games console, the first wave of games are mediocre ports of previous games, with tweaked graphics, rushed to market for the consoles debut.

I doubt we'll see anything decent and truly next-gen for a while yet.

Think I'll stick with the 360. IMHO, Sony have missed the boat with this one.
Will now wait until the next Xbox

Haven't had a PS since the first one - PS2 left me cold tbh.

long live the 360 long live the king

I own most of the previous generation consoles and 360 now and I can honestly say I won't be buying this machine. £500 is too much even if I do have an income that allows me to spent that money on toys I'm not going to.

As the first post says, when Microsoft drop the 360 price Parents will have an option this Xmas £500-PS3 or £200-360.

Another priceless quote from Sony

Mr. Kutaragi has defended the PlayStation 3's high price tag once again. Going so far as to declare that not only will consumers be prepared to pay such pricing for the device, but that the PS3 is "probably too cheap."
