If you can't get your trousers on the right way first time it's probably best you stay away from the track all together!

What an amazing place. Are houses expensive there
Did 12 laps, and loved every second of it. Prefered the rain personally, don't like abusing the engine like that.
Only one dodgey moment when a biker wasn't keeping track of their surroundings.
So much better than a track day. Decided to get back at every oportunity, though my 2k trek through the mud and fording a stream to spectate at the karousell when there is a perfectly good path probably makes me more a ring'piece' than a ringer
Just noticed the avatar there, spotted the clio a few times and was behind you for a good part of a lap

Btw. I was on some race tracks. Spa, Monza, Dijon but the Nürburgring is the best track of them. I think, there is no race track, that challenges you more, than the Nordschleife. You can drive hundreds of laps, but every lap is different and a new adventure.
I will be there on Saturday the 10th
See you
Bastian

I was there from May 24th - 29th, loved it, first time there, I thought I could do track days.....I was wrong! has to be the best drivers track in the world, have family there and most Germans don't know what the ring is and they live in the area! most have no idea the deaths and don't belive me! Goverment cover up I feel?
There are speed limits Germany now my family told me some regions don't inforce and some do with a vengance! so watch it, I've got flashed by a speed trap near Karlstrue 150 miles south of the ring. waiting to see if any thing comes through the post?
Want to go in August again with a group

Alot is written and said about deaths at the ring. Most of it is hype on the internet.
You are correct in that the biker was in a bad way, the last report I had was that he was still alive in hospital.
Last year I knew of one death all year. I would imagine more people were in killed in Adenau while crossing the road, or being stung by wasps.

Good point fella!
I'm happy's he's O.K, those ring bikers have big.......just a bit pixxt off The brits got told off for not slowing down at accidents! a bit ashamed to be a brit that weekend. Was it me or were most of the cars being towed off British one's, can't we drive? lots of Brits there that weekend more than other groups.

I didn't say he was ok, just that he was still alive, the last that I heard.
Its not just brits who dont slow down. I have marshalled at a few incidents and there is no distinguishing between those who do and dont slow down.
Again its not just brits who cant drive, but there is a high number of newbies who try to go too fast too early. The ring can bite and it all end in tears.
If you are interested i'm part of the www.northloop.co.uk forum which is dedicated to the ring. Why not join and chat on there.
