How does a complete centre console re-design go down!!!! not completed in pictures below, avcr surround now matches/blends in with the avcr itself and the heater controls are black also..... very stealth.... will post completed pics when i get around to taking them..

oh, I have also fitted bosch aero wipers, were a real pain to mod, but are bloody fantastic compared to standard ones... don't have any pics as of yet as the pictures I took didn't really show anything special. will try harder next time

Thats the ones, mine were from a vw polo and required more than a little modification to fit.... well worth it now they are on though.

The PS2 is in the glove box, thank you sony for the slimline fits like a glove.

A mod in the making, this will be my ram pipe to the airbox on my sti prodrive. Both the cover and the stainless trumpet will be painted this weekend (blue/black mica)

Its quite large at 3" bore but should do the trick

Photos taken on my phone, quite good i thought lol

Chris from Little Knocks came up with the original idea. However after a drunken night and my size 10 put paid to the original I rebuilt it, angling it a bit more towards me. Not sure black hammer effecct hammerite was the best choice to paint it in though. Still it beats having it stuck on the dash.

Some really goods mods here. Just booked a week off work to copy them all!!

That dash above with the AVCR looks well cool. Wish I had bought a black one now!

Cheers drb5. I made them at work, simple bit of turning for the ***** and produced the surround on a laser punch. Its still WIP, but when its completed i will have white backlit speedo, heater controls, and guages... hopefully it will look quite trick and blend in with the white display from the AVCR.

Well.......... Basically you need to find a set of wipers from a mk4 polo I think!!! Got mine from a local scrap yard after being tipped off (my mate practically lives up there!)

Firstly open up the hole in the end that they mount, as these are a few mm smaller on VW's; I ground up a drill to do this as the splines are tapered to keep the wipers on! don't go too far though as they will be rendered useless. nobody likes a big hole !!!!

The hardest part was getting them the right shape, I used an oxy-acetylene torch for this and many trips too and from the car until they fitted as I wished! The original aero wiper blades were too big, and are only available in certain sizes, but luckily I could purchase these off the shelf @ Halfords (have now been told that you can remove the end caps and trim larger ones down! typical, but I needed new ones anyway).

In total the mod cost me approx £30 and a few hours labour, really can't say how the wipers perform compared to standard ones, they are just awesome, and well worth the time and effort.

Apparently, you can fit the Aero blades without any mods (if you have the right ones )

I could have fitted those ones, but i'm a tart and wanted the fancy quick release fitting from the "proper" aero wipers

I couldn't find the right ones on eBay, and Halfords wouldn't order them in for me, so I just went for regular Bosch wipers.

how do you identify the correct ones to use, is there a model number or is it purely size based?

It certainly is........ I got bored one night.

Took a sharp cutting blade to a spare visor, dismantled the SECS Unit and mounted inside.

Fed the OBD cable through the A Pillar pod

Easy Peasy

Unusual to see such a brake system under a 16'' rim.
Any details please?

Oh! Welcome to you too!

How about a Snooper S6 mounted in the ashtray on a MY06

Now you see it
http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic....2/DSC00063.JPG

Now you don't
http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic....2/DSC00064.JPG

Just bought a replacement ashtray lid assembly from the local scooby dealer (part no: 92114FE100), about £30 and then took a dremmel to it, only down side you loose the cigarette lighter but then i used that to power the S6
