It fair but not good. Although you won't have any soldering to do as there will be a socket already in place. So you will save money there.

If it has the Prodrive chip in it, then yes it's worth it.
If it came from a Prodrive edition car then I doubt it, as my old Prodrive Edition didn't have the ECU upgrade until I managed to get hold of one.
The ECU upgrade came along seperatley and is fiarly rare in Pre96 cars.

hi scott, ive mananged to get them down to £120for the v7 but from there explanation i think its not got the prodrive chip,is it worth it ,and will the v7 still be ok for me to use to put the scoobyecu onto if it dont have the prodrive chip on it.

this is the model code for the v7: ECU.prodriveV7 22611-AB730A18-000RJ5 4122

and it also says its colour is red!

cheers eddy.

A V7 will have a blue label and be in a silver box.
I think the Prodrive performance ECU had a small prodrive label on it.

They certainly weren't red.
If may be an ex-Group N ECU. If thats the case it will probably be chipped, as that's why the spare socket was there.

best to get a pic of the inside and outside of it.

Confused, you ought to be.

If the eCU is a V7, then yes it will be fine. Just plug in your chip and cut J1
