Correct, he built the engine for them. Hans had a sport quattro before, I think he sold it last year.

You should have seen Vidar Strand last weekend when his M3 turbo did a 7.83 sec (289 km/h) on 402 meter. A new world record for that car. Impressive car.

Rudskogen is real fun. The norwegians are real crazy. Not a car under 700 hp on the track.

Does anyone over there know if stian's escort will be rebuilt?

Last rumours that I heard is that Stians Escort is rebuilt after the terrible crash. The meanest Cossie I have ever seen. I should have went to Rudskogen next week but my clutch is worned out and the new one is a week delayed. Real sad due to the real fun event that Rudskogen is.

Yes he runs his M5 but the record was set in a M3. I will search fore some videos from the event of the runs.

Today every car runs 10 seconds on the strip, even Volvos :-)

What made you go for the 18g Turbo then? Over say the 20g?

Interested as this will be my next move, but i thought 20g was the route.

You have to let me know how you find it. ie. Lag, and spooling rpm etc, as i'm heading in this direction and it would be nice to know what to expect. Tak.

Yes I will :-)

Yesterday I fitted new rear brake pads. Bought Performance Friction pads. The same that I have in front with the Performance friction rotors. The car stops even better now

Damn, you've spent some money on that beast already. I thought i'd gone crazy.

I've got new pads (Ferrodo DS2500) front and rear plus braided hoses still to fit, hopefully that will make a good improvement.

What have you done for your induction? I don't want to noise of a normal induction kit, so i'm thinking maybe inner-wing setup.

My plans from the beginning was to have the car stock :-) But my plan didnīt stay for long

The induction is under construction. We just fitted a cone filter on the induction pipe. I use MAP sensor now instead of the Maf so itīs safe to go for a open filter solution. If not i preffered the stock air box with either the STI panel filter or a upgraded panel filter.

My plan is to take air from the air duct on the passenger side. I have searched the web for that type of application but havenīt found anything yet. So we will build that for ourself. The APS inlet hose will be connected to a hard pipe that goes into the fender. Then I will ta a WRX fog light duct and replace it with the STI one. From that one connect a pipe that goes up to the filter.

The other solution is to built pipes from the duct up to the filter at the stock placing. We cutted the air box pipe so it worked with the open filter i run now.

This picture is from the begging of the project. You can see how we cutted the stock air filter box:

J
