Wow, out of my price for such a nice toy
You'll have to let me know how you get on with the 3" system (and how the AntiLag goes). I opted to stay with the 2.5" system and i don't know if i'm going to regret that.
I heard the 2.5" system is not restrictive until 350bhp, is that right? If so, that's fine for me. I just wanted to keep the noise down a bit.

We havenīt mapped the anti lag yet. Iīm waiting on my new 3" exhaust system with race kat instead of the 2.5" I use now.

Yes a 2.5" system is good for 350 hp, but I will go for a larger turbo so thatīs why I will change it to 3" system.

"The reason that I will go for a catted system is because of the pollution laws in Sweden. If the Police caught me with a car without cat the fines arenīt really fun."
here in portugal you can have your car inpounded by the police if you have some mods, that's why I'll go for a silent back box and full decat. I have a my98 euro impreza gt, I'm just aiming for the 300 mark ( the budget is short... )

A fun thing was yesterday. I went to a slalom day with Porsche Club Sweden. Guess who drove the 3:rd fastest time of the day ;-) only beaten by two 993 Carrera RS clubsport. So there is a lot of potential in the car to find out. I have looked at new coilovers now and later this summer I will go for the H&R Nürnburgring coilovers.

I hope that the car will be ready for next weekend when Subaru Club Sweden has a big 2 day event in Sweden.

Right now the engine has:
3" downpipe
3" full exhaust system
FMIC
Open air filter instead of stock filter box.
Upgraded wastegate with a stiffer spring
Autronic ECU
Greddy Dump Valve (donīt give any HP)
The map this week will be a 1.6 bar map. And a switch will be mounted in the car so I can choose between this 1.6 bar map and a little bit slower map with about 1.2 bar. The stock turbocharger will be maxed out with the 1.6 bar map.

I think you will struggle big time to get 1.6bar from the stock turbo.. good luck though it will be an interesting experiment.
Good job you have the FMIC though, the temps will be massive at that boost.
Also be careful of headgasket failure @ 1.6 bar.
Let us know how you get on as im very interested,
Good luck

I donīt think the stock turbo can manage to hold that boost level all the way at low gears. But at least 1.5 bar a longer time.
The headgasket should be fine with the stock turbo. Have a friend that uses a deadbolt zilla turbo on his STI, and that car is mapped for 1.5-1.6 without any problems.

Yesterday we took the old map and fine tuned it. The car feels much more powerful in the lower register than before. Even gained a little bit power in the top end. The car holds the boost much better than before but we need to upgrade the wastegate with a spring to help it not to open to obtain a 1.5 bar a longer time on each gear.
Here is some pictures of the new 3" system that we mounted 2 days ago.

hey... how did you know I was going to buy that 3' system?
does the exhaust bungle works? in the downpipe, the lambda sensor hole as something like a spacer to keep the sensor "outside" the gases path?

Everything works. The lambda and everything. Bolts and gaskets are included. The only thing that You should buy to be safe is new pin-bolts for the Turbo. I broke one of mine but I was lucky to have one in spare.

sorry for all the questions, but in your mods list there are no headers. do you think they should came after the fmic? or later?
I was thinking in buying the 3' full system like yours and the gt spec headers. the fmic I was thinking in buying it later. I have a my98 impreza gt with just a green panel filter and dawes device at 1,2 bar.
