Brembo produces the Porsche brakes according to their spec.
So AP is Brembo as Brembo bought AP last year.

If life was that simple

Will movit sell the brackets and disc as a seperate item? I have the Porsche monoblock calipers.

Mike.
"My mate can show us some very good lines as this is his home territory and he drives it with street tyres below 8.20min. This would be my suggestion."

So they're actually no better than my piddly 304mm AP four-pot brakes then, especially as he's obviously got poo-loads more power than CK1 and it's home track!

Hi Stef

as he has bags more of power than you he therefore needs more powerful brakes

Good point though about the 4 pots. As I've stated in the discussion with Adam you don't need overly big callipers and discs. You're the best prove for that. You don't have the sixpots and monster discs but you don't have problems with your setup, do you?! Because it's matched to the weight and grip of your car. Now you save unsprung weight which then gives you a better handling.

I'm sure if you had a Movit kit on your car people would buy without prejudice.

Cheers

Mike

PS: When you go to the Ring again drop me a line and my mate will give you certainly some good hints where to safe some time and you'll certainly enjoy it

no probs with ABS. As the modulation of the uprated brake system is superior you'll feel the grip much better and so you can brake consistently on the limit.
On my EVO with the standard brake system modulation was not what you expected and I triggered my ABS endless times. After switching to Movit this happens now very very rarely.

Cheers

Hi

I just want to inform you guys that the Impreza-GT-Club in Germany has already arranged a deal with Mr. Wolf from Movit for the porsche brake conversion.

If you have any further question about prices or sth else don't hesitate to contact us.

Regards
Frank :-)

Hi Frank

I know that your German Scooby Club has arranged a special agreement with Wolf. But Wolf is only allowed to sell Movit products in Germany. In the UK it's Jaz traction or group buys directly over Guido.
Maybe you provide us with some feedback abouth the Movit brakes on your Subaru. This would save me a lot of time as I get mails all over the world and I'm not even employed by Movit!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I should negotitate an agreement with Guido!!!!!!

Cheers

Mike

Mike, you should certainly be on commision from guido!

It would be good to have reports on here from a scooby owner with the movit setup.

All I can say to this topic is that I had owned the Alcon/Prodrive kit. On the track I got bad judder while a green Scoob with the Porsche brakes on (not even in the biggest specification) didn't have any problems and was driving lots faster than me.
While my discs cracked, his looked like new.

So, from my point of view, if you want something that really works, go the Porsche route.

PS Cannot say anything about AP's, have never driven nor seen them on a car here in Switzerland.

Mike.
I'm back at The Ring at Easter, it would be cool if you could all get there too.

Thumbs up

Hi Stef

Eastern sounds good. I'll try my best to come. As I'm nowhere near you regarding driver ability (I've got your Ring video, watched it a thousand times before I went for the first time!) I'll organise my mate who can give you some good advice on the Ring. I can try to follow you but at my first attempt (Ring and first ever track day) I only managed 9mins. This is far off your time but anyway having a good time, pouring down some beers in the evening and just enjoying our passion for cars and race tracks that's what counts!
As I check the Scoobyboard regularly it shouldn't be a problem to find out when you're going.
Thanks for letting me know. I really appreciate that.

Cheers

Mike
