Has anybody with an MY06 complained to Subaru about the free £3700 increase in spec?

Sorry, don't mean to wind you up, but it is a lump of metal that they have to shift...& everyone knows that the list price from a UK dealer is way OTT...they have to compensate for that in some way, or they won't sell any cars...
I've had a MY06 since Jan, & I've only seen one other in 4000 miles driving....so they obviously have a bit of a problem. I can only see the new deal being bettered again in the near future...& I can only see that being by a cut in list price...they've nowhere else to go!
I quite like the MY06 by the way..compared with the MY95 I've had for many years & just sold, it's a lot more refined & feels faster.
My 5 dr was £17K OTR (inc alarm & 3 yr warranty). How else can a UK dealer cope with that?
The 5 yr free servicing is a real worthwhile though...
