No, but sunflower seeds shells are organic and biodegradable! Is that still technically littering! At least they did not come across as the " Fat Sweaty Coppers " from the fast show!

I'm sure if you chucked an apple core out the window, you'd be getting a ticket

tell me about it... especially the 155mph comment? 0-60 i would say quicker than 7 though... probably not aloud to take them to the red line.

As one officer said " We have to look after these cars" then got it banged in the bumper ... doh!!

0-60 in 7 seems about right, 2 up, with the amout of equipment they have on board. Would top out around 145 - 150 I reckon.

Point well made Bubba. But you also have to add that we (general public) would also be complaining about our taxes and rates going up if we were shown pictures of written off police cars. The to**ers who steal the cars have no such problems.

You recon?

Bug eye - no more than 140 with all that kit.

The grey haired bloke doing his "exam" in last night's show comes over as a complete ****. Manchester's finest? no wonder the criminal fraternity are so prolific.

Couple of shows back was even funnier, when the Evo8 left them for dead

What worries me more than anything, is the fact that they all go on about the "excitement" and adrenalin rush they get. No wonder there are so many **** ups...

You need skille drivers who remain completely calm doing that job, not excitable half wits...

I think they were just being honest about the 'adrenalin rush' and 'excitement'. They could deny it but they are human and presumably joined the unit because they like catching criminals and driving / cars in general.

The adrenalin rush and excitement are not necessarily a problem .... the skill of an advanced driver is how they handle it and channel it, not deny such feelings may exist. The adrenalin rush is a natural human reaction that you can't get rid of. You have to balance what you are doing and the likely risks posed by the suspects driving whilst making sure you are driving as safely as possible. That is not easy ....

The fact alot of the cars got away from them is because they were not driving like idiots to keep up. They manage to raise their game so as not to crash - and I don't include the attempt to block the car in; that will almost always result in a dent or two.

They will get done internally if they take the car off road and end up sumping it on a low tree stump. The thief couldn't care less about going off road and damaging the car ..... it's not theirs!

The guy who saw the car crash he was pursuing was barely keeping in touch with it but he will still be subject to an investigation of some kind to make sure he was driving as taught and not for example 'pushing' the car which was failing to stop.

I think the video showed he was some way away and he shouldn't have any problem - but the fact he will get investigated will not be much fun for him. No police driver wants a pursued car to crash .... aside from any feelings about the occupants it is just so much grief for the police officer!
