Leasing or Buying? Please help the poor newbie

Sorry, was a little unclear on that!
In the end I decided to buy rather than lease. My theory was as it's my first Scoob and I was little worried that things might not work out, I thought this was the best option. i.e. It bankrupts me, I have a kid so no longer suitable or it gets nicked\vandalised all the time then I can sell it knowing I am not tied into a 2-3 year contract.
After all this, now turns out that work might be giving me a company car - Will definately opt out though and use the money for mods and stuff!
Unless..... Scoobys are on the list of cars I can have. hmmm
