Spent a long time in IT Good pay, lots of crap to deal with, in general an easy job though, just dull as dishwater.
Now build historic racecars and get paid to travel the world running them at the races, get to drive them ocasionally in testing, everything from a 50BHP 1950's saloon to a 900BHP/LbFt CanAm sports car .
Pay sucks compared to IT, but i love the job.

Nights can drag a bit, but its a good job.
Would love to work with cars though, nice one, glad someone is living the dream

I work in the nuclear industry, but i'm really at the bottom of the heap.....
We are just the "Workshop scum" who keep the ******* things going........
I earn £30k-£40k a year depending on overtime, this is nowhere near what the desk driver above earns for sitting on his ****! LOL
On the plus side, the pension is superb, the days off are brill, and mostly the people who work around you are excellent.......(most)!

Been there, done similar, running big chunks of outages on Magnox reactors. Now moved on to something with less cash (mainly due to no overtime) but more potential for nuclear engineering, which suits me fine.
