Went full suspension as I spoke to a couple of people and they all said the same thing which was if you can afford it go for full suss but you need to spend over £900 or its not worth it. Well my budget wasnt that much but I tracked a 2006 bike down at not far off half price so went for that.

Riding off road is loads more comfortable and its easier to keep the pedals going at speed when youre not bouncing off the saddle all the time.

Its slower on the road mind you as there is a bit of movement from the suspension.

Brakes wise the discs seem pretty good. They dont bite as quickly as a set of v-brakes initially do but they are reasonably progressive. There is a slight rubbing from the discs which needs sorting but that might go once they wear a bit.
