My brother's Downhill monster:

the second one looks more rideable as the first one seems to have really sloped handle bars

 

there was a bike there for 2k fecking hell i could buy a car for that

 

mind you in saying that when i was serving my time a lad there had a bike made by 'orange' and it was 2k. he was really into the downhill stuff big time, bearing in mind this was 15 years ago

Think it's just the camera angle. They are both really good rigs and easy to ride. Just don't try to do flat or up on the DH one. **** me, it's heavy.

My brother is quite fortunate in that his mate is a sponsored rider and sells him kit for pennies and they've only been used a couple of times.

The forks on the DH bike were 800 quid new a couple of years back.

Crazy when you can pay half of that to get a decent set of shocks on your car.

so you actually get bikes that are purposely built to go downhill??? well i never new that, honestly. bit mad that in it, do they build them to go just up hill as well

 

yeah all sorted now mate it was leeking like **** but i only had to get it repaired in the end ( well cheeper than a new one )

If you added all the kit up on the DH bike at full new price it would come to nearly 3.5 grand.

He paid nothing like that, mind.

Even his jump bike would be nearly £600.

Yep. Downhill specific. Bombproof really. They weigh about 45lbs+ though.

the bit that joins up with the top pipe was cracked so had to replace one of the sides if that makes sense

ive been on a right spam fest on my hols, got **** all to do now my holiday is over, still off now though and dont go back to monday, 3 weeks of sun

 

was thinking of a racer cos the way to work is all on the roads and thought it may cut down on time
