got a pm yesterday of someone telling me to look into unemployment insurance due to redundancy.

Got a quote and for £49 per month, I will get something like £1440 tax free for upto 2 yrs. Only thing is you cannot make a claim within 60 days of taking out the policy

Good thing is, I havent been given an official letter yet saying that I am going to be made redundant and thats not due to october so I can do it

may just take it out for a year though in which case it will be £31 per month

was looking into mainly though for the wife as she is on the redundancy watch, so was thinking she could have a policy (2yr) and if she does get made redundant she can have 2 yrs off with the little un and it wont affect us too much (should be okay for a year as we have mortgage protection so that will pay a % for a year for her)

got a phone call tuesday from gary giving me renewal details (policy expires 27th)
get a letter on wednesday giving me the written quote
get a letter thursday saying they havent heard from me and that the policy expires blah blah blah and there is no grace period etc etc etc

i wont be renewing anyway as I can get it over £250 cheaper on a better policy with courtesey car etc, and a lower excess.

will ring the new co up and see if I can get a further discount by getting rid of the courtesey car cover as I can use the wifes if anything happened

its funny, its actually dearer to insure the car 3rd party fire and theft than it is fully comp

got to put the mrs hanging baskets up this weekend, then I can add more deck lights (white) just above them, then it will look fecking well cool at night all illuminated
