Just back from the hospital
My dad has to have some surgery for a head wound after falling 25 feet and landing head first on a bannister
Most scary thing ive ever had to deal with, i was in tears holding his head waiting for an ambulance while he was unconscious

workin for my old man, decorating a masive bank vault, come 5oclock, he fell 25 feet and cracked his head open on a step, i was up some scaffolding painting the ceiling when i heard him him fall, i screamed at him but there was no responce I jumped down as quick as i could and when to him, he wasnt breathing and was KO'd in a huge pool of blood face in a funny position on the stairs
I thought he was dead mate
Never been so scared in my bloody life, took of my tshirt and covered up the head wound, screaming at him to wake up, and after what seemed like ages he slowely opened his eyes
Took the ambluancve over 20 minutes to arrive

In the Manchester Royal Infirmary, he was taken down to have surgery on his head about an hour ago, as there was a 20 cm split on his head that was wide open and pissing blood
He was ok tho, and talking when we had to go, ill be down straight away in the morning, as he'll be out till then apparently

When he fell, he was upright, but his feet hit the bannister and spun him 180degrees in the air, so he landed on his left shoulder and head
Feckin blood all over he place

Looked a right state when the ambulance got there, me with my belly out as my tshirt was on his bloody slap head

its only natural mate, its makes you appreciate things more, the main thing is he is ok an maybe with thoughts like that running through your head your relationship with your dad will only get stronger.

he is in good hands and maybe the fact that he is in such good shape might of had a big influence in him not being more hurt. chin up mate and get a good nights sleep you need to go finish the job off for him tomorrow
