Be refer a friend terms and conditions
Just to be clear...
In these terms and conditions, ‘the referrer’ is the Be Unlimited (“Be”) member making the referral and ‘the referee’ is the person nominated by the referrer to apply for any of Be’s broadband service.
Can you be part of the ‘Refer a friend’ programme?
Easily, All Be members are invited to refer their friends to apply online for any Be broadband service.
How do I refer a friend?
Get your friend’s permission, then log in to your member centre and enter the names and email address’ of up to 6 people that you would like to know about Be* broadband.
What do you get for referring your friends?
Free ultra-fast broadband (and, probably, lots more friends). If someone you refer joins Be, you (the referrer) will get one (1) month’s free Be(depending on which Be service you have contracted to receive at the time of the referral) broadband as our way of saying ‘thank you’ up to a maximum of six (6) referees per referrer. When your friend (the referee) is connected to Be, they will not have to pay the usual connection charge. You are eligible for one (1) month’s free Be broadband(of the Be service which you are on at the time the referee signs up) for the first five (5) friends you refer that join Be and for an additional two (2) month’s free Be broadband (of the Be service you have contracted to receive when the referee signs up) if a sixth (6th) friend of yours joins Be, making a maximum total of seven (7) month’s free Be broadband (as long as you continually subscribe to whichever Be service you have contracted to receive at the time of the referrer signing up to Be as long as Be continues to offer an equivalent service at this service level) Our way of saying a very BIG ‘thank you’. Obviously, we hope that you’ll be so pleased with your service that you’ll continue referring people to us, even if the maximum six (6) of your referees have already joined Be.
So how does Be’s ‘Refer a friend’ programme work?
Referrers will be credited for one (1) month’s Be broadband fee (at the referrer’s applicable monthly broadband fee rate at the time the referee signs up) for every qualifying member they have referred (up to a maximum of six (6) referees per referrer), providing:
If a referrer refers 6 friends, as outlined above, the referrer will get free Be broadband (at the referrer’s applicable monthly broadband fee rate at the time of the referral) for seven (7) month’s as long as you continually subscribe to Be broadband and as long as Be continues to offer an equivalent service at this service level.
And how will you get your ‘Refer a friend’ credits?
Normally, with the minimum of fuss. All ‘Refer a friend’ credits will appear as a credit on your next invoice, providing we have received cleared funds from you and the referee and the credit doesn’t exceed your recurring broadband fees due to us (as shown on the invoice). Should the credits exceed the recurring broadband fees total on your invoice, the excess credits will be rolled over to the following monthly invoice until you use all your credits.
Is there a limit on the number of people you can refer?
Yes. You are eligible for one (1) free month’s Be broadband (of the Be service you have contracted to receive) for the first five (5) of your friends that join Be and for an additional two (2) free month’s Be broadband if a sixth (6th) friend of your joins Be but there are no additional free month’s of Be broadband for any further referrals - although we hope that you enjoy our service so much that you’ll tell as many of your friends as possible.
Okay, what are your responsibilities?
Simply ask your friends for the details they will use when they join Be, and for their permission for you to send those details to us, then log into your member centre, input the email address and name of your friend in the appropriate boxes. We will tell your friend that you have referred them and your friend must then sign up to Be using those same details, or neither of you will be eligible for the refer a friend credits. The referral process must be completed before the order is placed, and once your friend’s order is placed and goes live, the details will be checked to confirm that you are both eligible for the offer.Be cannot be held liable for any referral details being entered incorrectly by you. Also Be cannot accept any retrospective referrals, even if the new member was originally referred by you. So make sure you put the referees details in correctly when you are referring them, and make sure your friend uses the same details when they sign up!
You can change your mind and delete a referral. If you do this then neither you nor your friend will be eligible for the refer a friend credits, even if your friend subsequently joins Be. If you delete a referral, we will let your friend know that they are no longer part of your refer a friend program.
Sounds great. Are there any exclusions?
Only a few. ‘Refer a friend’ credits are not transferable between members and are not redeemable for cash. Should you qualify for a free month of Be’s broadband for referring a friend, that free month is conditional on the referrer and the referee (i) both having a valid contract with Be for the Be service they both contracted to receive at the time of the referral, (ii) having paid all sums due to Be and (iii) not having given any notice to terminate their contracts to Be before and up to the date on which the free month is to be credited to the referrer’s account with Be and as long as Be continues to offer an equivalent service at this service level. A credit is not transferable to any other members, even if Be is unable to provide service to that member at their home address in future. You will not be granted any ‘Refer a friend’ credits if you solicit referees or advertise this programme publicly in any way or otherwise recruit referees outside of those friends actually known to you. Be reserves the right to determine whether you are in compliance with the terms of this programme and eligible for ‘Refer a friend’ credits at its absolute discretion. You will also not receive any credit for any referee who was previously a member of Be (whether referred by you previously or not).
Be resellers, agents, and any orders for Be which are not made directly online through the Be website (at www.bethere.co.uk) are excluded from this ‘Refer a friend’ programme. Also, Be members cannot nominate themselves if more than one line is serviced by Be.
Should you decide to cancel your Be service ,any outstanding ‘Refer a friend’ credits at the time of your cancellation notice will become invalid from the date of receipt of the notice.
All decisions associated with the ‘Refer a friend’ programme are at the discretion of Be.
Can this change?
Be reserves the right to amend or cancel the ‘Refer a friend’ programme without notice at any time.

- the order is accepted and service is provided to the new referee. Credits will not apply if the referee cancels their order before service is activated or if you or the referee gives notice before the credit is applied to your or the referee’s account
- you and the referee are up-to-date with all payments due to Be for services provided

How does that free sat box work then - do you need to rig your sky dish to it?
As I said on Saturday night I a keeping it as it does not owe me anything, unless someone comes up with the right money. I usuall only keep my cars for three year then get a new one, but I like the car and cant seem to find anything out there that I really want, except the Evo 10 which I cant justify 30k + at the moment maybe 25k, its mad in away when people buy a scooby there insurance normally doubles or sometimes even more and they don't moan about that, but when the tax is too double they get on their high horse, it does grip my s4it to have to pay £210 and if some cars go up to £400 thats life, just like everything including the petrol which is the main reason I think most people are struggling with the cost of owning a scooby

yep, even if you dont have a sky dish you can buy the dish for £56 ish from b & q, next cheapest i have seen is maplins at 150 ish with a box. My plan is cunning, I have 2 cables alreay to my sky plus box so I should be okay when the hd pvrs are available plus I have multiroom so the other big tv has got a cable there already, and the engineer didnt remove the old cable when he put the plus box in so I can use that for another room
