Right, time to contact sky to cancel I think. Its not worth the £60+ per month for multi room and all the channels and broadband.

 

most of the films we have seen anyway, and I only generally watch liverpool on the sports occasionally I will watch the boxing if its on etc.

 

decided we are going to get that feesat as you can get it in hd and doesnt cost anything. There are loads of channels as well

 

can even use the existing sky dish so all I need is a hd box, and a normal box for one of the bedrooms

 

B & Q had a normal box for sale for £19 yesterday


shame they didnt have a hd box there at the time as I would have got it.

 

only problem is, there isnt a box out yet that allows you to pause live tv and record etc so I dont know whether to hold out a bit for one of them

 

then I will switch my broadband from sky (dont think I can keep it without the tv package ) but I will go to BE instead so possibly slightly faster downloads but with faster uploads

SKY + is a godsend - but as you say expensive

yep, especially when you have unlimited broadband at about 12mb

without sounding all geeky, what speed do you get and whats your line stats like on BE ?

 

got my paint and treated the mrs to some rollers as well

 

I will quickly mask off the surrounding areas where I dont want surplus paint and then she can happily paint away

ahhh well, too nice to be in work today, its cracking the flags out there

 

No service is unlimited - especially orange and tiscali if you download too much you get throttled

where as on bethere it does have the same fair usage policy as all the others do but they have never implicated on anyone that ive ever heard of

im on the 18 per month for upto 24mb with a fixed IP - but im miles away from the exchange so I only get 6mb down with 1.1mb up far better then ive ever had of those 2 rogue IP providers - also the modem is great - being able to turn wireless on and off at the touch of a button not like those gay hubs you get off orange

i could really go on the £14 a month but will lose my fixed IP

Virgin have also started shafting people with the fair usage policy - unlimited my fookin ****
