not able to hack a full days work I see

 

decisions decisions.

I have found out that I will get over 6k redunancy if I stay here till the end of the year, now I am thinking that as the mortgage is in my name and I am covered for redundancy on it, I could do some kind of course (I.T. / Plumbing/Joinery/Tiling etc) and use some of my redunancy money to do this.

So do I go for a new job internally (at a different site) for more money and closer to home,
Stick it out here and take my money and run, retrain and then get a job in a trade, with the view to setting up on my own

 

I also have the possibility later in the year to move into I.T. with a role that is probably going to be made. My name is on the radar

 

i would take the job internally, jobs in the trade aint as good as what people think. Everyone always qoutes 60-70k for plumbers and the like but its only down south that they get that sort of money. Ask pete about joinery as he dont earn 50+k. stay with what you know an go to night school, there is no way if i was in your position that i would take the risk of getting made redundant.

My college runs plumbing courses that are fully booked every year so it just goes to show how many people believe the hype.
