Well i'm a massive fan of strongman tbh.
a few years ago when i used to hammer the gym i carried some boxes once that weighed over 16st (they were full of screws) and dumped them on the shelf at work which was shoulder height - i always used to look at how heavy the atlas stones were.
i think the heaviest are 22st

lazlo fekete waqs ther with his son, who was a semi pro footballer, weighed 15st, and beat the uk's best insome events
i enjoy strongman comps, and i've always tried to stay strong , used to fit engines , or gear boxes by hand
feel like i'm cabbaging behind the wheel of a lorry

There is a Norwegian bloke called Odd Haugen who is 57 yo now and still competes and does fairly well in strongman.
Welcome to Odd Haugen's Official Website
i have had e-mails off both Svend Karlsson and Hugo Girard

Funny you say that Howard, years ago i used to make Garage doors and a bloke there used to be almost superhuman in strength (and there were some big lads there) yet he was only 14st and he was 52 - he put his strength down to fitting engines which he had done all his life
carl, evening
i used to do an hour a week in the gym and pushed sum decent weight, the thing was i used to get dragged into helping the steriod boys when they were training, i used to help them get into postion and catch the weights when they pushed it to the max,
thing is i only ever went once a week for an hour, the local hero went from 19stone to 22 stone to became a pro, he was useless, he said all his body hurt from the pressure of the **** he was doing to get that big
if i trained regular, i'd end up 18 stone plus and lose to mush agility, useless and clumsey
although i'm not much better now

It does take its toll, i used to train at a gym in Reddish called Nicks gyn and it was proper hardcore - The owner in his heyday could leg press 1000 pounds (and had pics to prove) at the time i trained here he was in his late 40's and his legs were f**ked joints completely knackered - they were like sparrows legs i swear.
