may try to cycle to work tomorrow

 

when I say "try" I know I can do it.

 

its just the time to do it

 

I can cycle at a constant 15mph on the road on a mountain bike with big chunky tyres with uphill sections etc etc so assuming flat I would go slightly faster.

 

its 20.9 (avoiding motorways as I cant go on the motorway on my pushbike. Well actually I can but its not legal)

thats a long winded route though so I may try straight down the A6

will do another route and see what that brings.

 

my thinking is I live near the A6 (gotta go up a big hill though), can cycle straight down there, then jump on the A57 somewhere (past the dogs I think) and then follow the A57 to Hyde
Probably be slightly longer distance wise, but 2 roads are easier than loads of roads, especially is some of the roads are manchester city centre!

 

and the good thing is its exercise so I can loose more weight, cycling 40+ miles a day has gotta be good for me.

 

another good thing is it will save me £300+_ per month in petroleum distallate

 

bad thing though is its coming upto winter so will be a wee bit chilly

 

and I start work at half past seven so it means getting up at 5 ish!

 

and finish at half 4 so late getting in

 

could always attach my sat nav to my bike see where that takes me !!

 

actually thats not a good idea, as last time I used it when going to wales it took me to the top of a quarry via a track on some fields.
