When i was 10 i learned to skin up,never mind swearing and my parents are middle class church going christians who tried there hardest.Im sure young JJ has heard worse in the school playground.Some of you have had very sheltered lives if you think a 10 year old swearing is the end of the world.

Im amazed. Not at the kid as obviously the dad is most likely editing in what the kids saying but the comments some people have left.

May I ask where you live and what you do for a living what car you drive and if you have any children before you start calling every one a chav because what Ive noticed lately on internet forums alot of chav bashers are chavs themselves. They just dont realise it or theyre in denial.

I guess you either 'get' the idea of the reviews or you don't. I knew the reaction we would get from the one make car forums, see what happens when somebody comes on here slagging off Imprezas
I just don't understand (supposedly) grown men getting the hump enough to threaten a 10 year old kid for calling their car "****" (particularly as he is correct )
The language thing is a whole other debate.
As has already been pointed out on this thread, he will hear that every day at school and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. I have sat down with him and discussed the language in question and he not only knows what it means but also when it is unacceptable to be used. So no, he is not at all confused, in fact he is very level headed about it all, unlike his peers where 'those words' are taboo and never mentioned, he is acting from an informed position.
Bearing that in mind, when you sit a 10yr old kid down to do "reviews" and tell him "go for it, be as rude as you like if you don't like it" what result do you expect ?
To those that are offended/disapproving, well they are simply words, a method of communicating a point, and as I said he is well aware of when it is appropriate and when it is totally unacceptable.
I will wager though that >95% of users here both swear and moderate their language when around certain people (mother, vicars, boss, whatever....) In that case, any of them criticising are utter hypocrites.
As for the comments regarding his use of the words "gay" and "******". Some people on this board are way out of touch with kids these days.
Just as "gay" was appropriated by the homosexual community several decades ago, it is now being used in a different context by kids. These days "gay" means "pathetic" or similar as in "that is really gay".
"******" is used in a similar vein. It is used in the same way by his openly homosexual cousin and his boyfriend. So no, it does not mean that he is a closet homosexual (in fact he is unimpressed in a normal 10 year old way by both heterosexual and homosexual sex).

It is quite funny, especially some of the reactions, based on the opinion of somebody who is ten years away from a Yaris or a Saxo if they are lucky.
