My partner is interested, do you have any interior pictures for her?
Where abouts are you?

Wah - It's fact, 5th gear did a test with a UK sti on optimax, normal super plus and standard and reset the ecu each time, the optimax gave something like 14 bhp differance so

Default The Evidance

Fuel for thought by Jon Bentley

Subaru Impreza WRX STI

And finally, the Subaru Impreza WRX STI, a performance car with a highly-stressed turbocharged engine running at high compression ratios. It should relish the stability of higher octane fuel.
Advertisement - article continues below

On ordinary unleaded the Impreza put out 235 bhp.
On BP Ultimate, it managed 248 bhp.
And on Shell Optimax, it offered 249 bhp.</B>
So clearly, the fancy fuels here are well worth the extra money, giving you almost another 15 bhp over ordinary unleaded.
So how do you choose between Optimax and Ultimate? We broadened the test a bit further to examine the Impreza's torque output while running under the three different fuels to see if that would help us to produce a clear winner:
Ordinary unleaded gave the lowest torque with 232 ft lbs.
BP Ultimate produced a much healthier 248 ft lbs, and
Shell Optimax was even better, producing 258 ft lbs.
So there you go - if you're looking to get the most out of a high-output turbocharged engine then, on our figures, Shell Optimax gives the best all-round performance.

Judging by the interest you've generated when you first put it up for sale, they'll be a few people out there glad it's now not sold to the time waster I'm sure it won't be long before you get another buyer jak,
At least you can hold off those tears for a while

In last months Banzai, they have compared the top 3 "performance" fuels on a YB series Cosworth engine @ Field Motorsports, their conclusion after dyno testing was as follows

Normal 95RON U/L - 512BHP 417lb/ft
Tesco 99RON U/L - 521BHP 421lb/ft
BP Ultimate U/L - 530BHP 428lb/ft
Shell Optimax U/L - 537BHP 434lb/ft
